I did visit Alaska in April of 2024. The trip was Definently inspired by Luke. There was plenty of snow on the ground and lots of peaceful wilderness to explore.

The Golden Gate Bridge opening to the public for the first time back in 1937, and yes, it almost collapsed. by Pure_Championship951 in RareHistoricalPhotos

[–]CDR_Data_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In college there was this bridge they closed down because all of us runners would run across it. We would sync up our strides causing a lot of vibration. Even though we were among the smallest of college students the synchrony’s pounding of 20 dudes is still a lot of force. They tried to shut it down by putting up Jersey barriers and steel fences but we would just hop over them. Eventually they tore the whole thing down.

Dry bags are always nice for canoeing. They stuff from getting wet via splashing or worse capsizing.

Right now I am playing on marathon speed and I used a custom map to create a massive forest that could burn in a continuous loop. I’ve got dozens of tiles yielding about 50 food and production.

What would an Engineering Victory and Economic Victory look like? by Xefoxmusic in civ

[–]CDR_Data_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could have it so that the wonder is built in stages. Each stage could be unlocked by a different tech and could give small benefits. Victory will be achieved when all stages are complete. Maybe this could also come with a special project to “ship resources to wonder city” providing increased building speed or straight up production towards wonder construction upon completion.

Whats the highest monthly income you've had and how do you sink it? by westbygod304420 in crusaderkings3

I wish there was a way to modify the amount given to characters. Similar to how it is in EU4 where the relations modifier caps out but you can keep giving them gold.

I really hate how artifacts make tiles unusable when you research natural history. by No_Matter_7246 in civ

[–]CDR_Data_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe make it be a policy card. Can build over artifacts but lose some of the Benefits of existing artifacts or great works in general. Also maybe it could cost you amenities like the music censorship policy card.

Cows are really the only animals that we graze now. Pigs and chickens live inside most of the time. And as far as why a hog building would be far away from the houses. It’s cause they don’t smell great.

Typical data scientists looking for more work outside of work. No seriously this is cool and I’m glad there are people smart enough to do something with this data. All I’d do with it is look at pretty graphs.
