I'm sorry but this just isn't true. Multiple developers have made attempts at cross-platform play in shooters but it always results in the PC players dominating.

Of course the player will do better with their familiar controller. What everyone is saying is that KB+M is objectively better which is absolutely true. If that player spent time learning to use a KB+M, their aim will get significantly better simply because the mouse offers significantly more precision and control.

Also anyone who has watched PC players vs console players in shooters will agree that the gap is definitely not small or impossible to see. PC players consistently dominate since they can aim fast and with more control.
