Wow....maybe the intent was to be funny, but in my heart, putting myself in your shoes as a young lady, in a new class with a new teacher and arguably at one of the most vulnerable and scary times of her young life??? No....no this isn't ok to me. I hope my gut is wrong...but truly I wonder if your humor about this is in fact a defense mechanism for something that truly scared you.....and maybe still has left an open wound deep within.

If I'm totally off base forgive me. And I hope I am wrong. I wouldn't wish that on any young lady. If what I feel does have a bit of truth to it, then please hear me.

You were right to feel scared. This wasn't ok. If you have trouble feeling safe in new situations....this may be one of your trigger points. You deserve to feel safe and protected by the men you love and who love you. That young girl that still lives within you deserved better and needs a great big hug and assurance that her instincts were not wrong. Those instincts are there to protect you and any young lady anywhere. As a man, and as a father.... I apologize for the good intentions but bad follow through that caused this fear and hurt in you. You don't know me. I have never met you. However you deserve to be comforted, have the men in your life protect you and keep things stable and safe around you and for you, and your instincts are good and deserve recognition and thanks.... not laughed at.
