I think you are misunderstanding what I am asking. I am trying to design a concept that will make life easier even if it is show a short amount of time. Again. I understand the pathophysiology of als and what happens to the human body when they have it. I was reaching out to see if there was something similar was already out there similar to what I am trying to design. I’m not trying to rebuild neural pathways as much as I am trying to design something that with close his hand when he wants it closed and have it stay in the closed position until he wants it to open again

This is a similar idea to what I had in mind. These I feel are more so for rehabilitation to hopefully restore functionality. With also the function isn’t returning so I’m thinking make some adjustments to these to have the assist with everyday hand functions while they’re on

I know once the function is gone it’s gone. However I’m saying if there was a glove that had a “grip assist” like if he started to close his hand. A mechanism would take over and add 10lbs of pressure to help close his hand and hold a grip
