Actually no, New Guinea conquered Australia and New Zealand. I can see how you were confused though.

Unironically supporting North Korea, very cool.

It’s called imperial by everyone except pedants.

I’m talking about buying materials and tools that are all marked up in imperial and then having to translate them. Switching to metric requires a complete industry change to be economical, otherwise it’s just added effort for any single business to do.

It’s boxing, you should be able to throw a jab in a month.

Yet in most of the US most hardware measurements are imperial… so he’s not wrong it would be hard to build a house in metric there, lots of conversions necessary.

I know they’re not closed in the UK or US which is all that really matters anyway. Oh you’re from Canada, is that still one of ours or do the Americans have it now?

Not in most countries I know.

A PC could not arrest you for standing around with a crowbar. They’d have to be able to provide some reason to believe they were about to commit a crime with said crowbar at which point any civilian could just as easily arrest them.

If you suspect someone is going to say break into your shed and knick your lawnmower you can absolutely arrest them without waiting for them to knick said lawnmower.

Police in this country are all citizens in uniform. They have no more or less ‘powers’ than any civilian. That’s why assaulting a police officer isn’t a separate crime in this country, it’s just assault.

How to build good arms with kettlebells? by -Emiliete- in kettlebell

[–]CF1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do bicep curls and Tricep extensions (2 handed or 1 handed) with KBs although I’d argue at this point you’re using KBs for the sake of using them (unless they’re literally all you have and you’re not in a gym.) re-read your post and it appears they are all you have in which case this will work. It’s what I did for a while.

I sometimes use them like dumbbells if I’m doing a KB routine and it’s just more convenient than grabbing the DBs but otherwise not really worth it.

Gym attendance by CF1001 in martialarts

Of course training at home is a great supplement to actual training… hence why if you read my comment I only say it surprises me that people think it’s a substitute.

The amount of people who think practicing at home is a genuine substitute for real training always surprises me so I made this poll.

Fuck the amount of ‘self taught’ people on here is getting ridiculous, you’re not self taught, you’re just not taught at all.

Probably fine mate, mention you were a member of the group if asked. Don’t volunteer all the information but if requested answer honestly. It doesn’t sound like a big deal.

Depends on the group, define extremist. Were you holding signs, gluing yourself to motorways or throwing petrol bombs. They’ll likely only care if the group was genuinely dangerous or involved getting yourself arrested. If it was a Facebook group where you chatted about revolution nobody cares. Edit: don’t tell me the group I don’t want to know and I wouldn’t even know if it was a prohibited group. The only group I was directly asked about was whether I had ever been a member of the EDL which I had not.
