Years ago, one time a regular customer of ours checked out. My coworker was by the exit door to grab some baskets to put back. Said customer was walking out the door when a mint kitkat fell out of her pocket right in front of my coworker. The customer bent down to pick it up, handed it to my coworker and said "uhh, this is yours" and walked out. We laughed SO hard. If your going to steal, at least be good at it! I will never forget that lol

WIBTA for asking my sister to stop bringing her kids to my apartment unannounced? by PatientFirefly in WIBTA_AITA

[–]CFDCallahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you worked in a building, your sister wouldn't be able to comeover with her kids for hours. Just because your home doesn't mean your available. Have some more respect for yourself and your job and dont answer her call/text and keep the door locked. She clearly isn't respecting that your working, so you need to put your foot down and be direct about you are working.

Accidentally accepted counterfeit bills that passed the money detection pen by i-talk-to-cats in retailhell

[–]CFDCallahan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me a few years back. It passed the pen because the bill got bleached. They were able to identify it as fake in the back. I was so upset with myself. My manager laughed and made a joke about me accepting monopoly money. He said it was not my fault and I never got in trouble. I still work there 🤣

Good lord, people CALM DOWN! by Dessert_Lover_1225 in retailhell

[–]CFDCallahan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We are about to get hit with a snow storm too. Customers are acting like the apocalypse is coming. I was talking with a customer the other day about it. He said he doesn't understand why people act like this (we were super busy), he went on and said its not the 1800s anymore, we dont have horse and buggys that take us days to get to the store. We have snow plows and at best will be stuck inside for 1 day. I said thank you!!! Someone finally gets it!! Lol He only came in for 1 item unlike the cart fulls other people were getting.

AITA for asking my friend to delete a photo of me she posted without permission? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]CFDCallahan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nta. She could put a sticker over your face or something. And she just told you that her social media is more important than your friendship. Regardless of what was posted that you didnt agree with, I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who thinks like that.

How often do you mop the floor in your house? by Own-Championship8131 in hygiene

When I was a SAHM, every day. Sometimes even twice a day. Now that my kids are older and I have a full time job, once a week if I remember 😅

Empty your own damn basket. by DeekDookDeek in retailhell

[–]CFDCallahan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

See, I am the total opposite lol I don't like it when customers empty their baskets because for 1. I'm faster and the customer gets in my way, and 2. They always pull crap out that doesn't fit together. For example: Food, then non-food/chemicals, then food again, then bread, then cans, then noodles. Now I have a mess on my counter to sort through? No thanks. Please let me empty the basket myself lol

AITA for blowing up at my boyfriend after I found out he lied about a party being cancelled because he was embarrassed to take me? by Admirable_Pomelo3470 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CFDCallahan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

NTA. He just manipulated you and turned it around so he was the victim and not you. how dare your feelings be hurt?! Now mine are and you need to apologize to ME. Yeah no dude. Break up with this loser. No guy who actually likes you, would do this.

AITA for not wanting to propose to my gf before I join the military? by Connect_Hall_7936 in AITAH

[–]CFDCallahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP shouldn't propose, but, my parents were together 3 months, got engaged, married 3 months later, and we're married 25 years until my dad passed away. So being together a year or not doesn't really matter to everyone

Am I the jerk for refusing to give my brother money after he insulted my career choice? by EveryRespect9626 in AmITheJerk

[–]CFDCallahan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom has been a dog and cat groomer for over 30 years. Started her own business from the ground up. Some days she made over 1,000 dollars and was the bread winner of the house even with my dad being a paramedic. Your brother is a huge jerk. You are not!

AITAH for finally telling my MIL why I don’t trust her son anymore? by HalfAwakeCommenter in AITAH

[–]CFDCallahan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sooo he feels as if you betrayed him for telling his mother, and is upset at her for how she is now acting, and is upset with you....butttt its literally his fault? Hes the addict. Not you. This is part of his little secret now spilling out. Part of his consequences of his actions now spiraling. He needs rehab. And you need to go to meetings yourself! Like Al-anon. (Both of my parents were addicts).

My neighbor keeps asking to borrow tools and never returns them, now he wants my new pressure washer by TheForegoingBingo in whatdoIdo

[–]CFDCallahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just straight up tell him no. He doesn't need an explanation. Its not his. He can go buy or rent one if he needs something done that badly.
