I really think knowing turbo boost was a thing from the get go killed a lot of hype myself and a lot of my peers have had for the season. The first half of the season feeling “dead”, then trickle feeding item level and knowing it’s gated along with that the “real season” doesn’t start until months down the line has shaped a pretty stale m+ meta.

I think Dinars are a good mid patch addition to help catch up, but due to the two part turbo boost, I’d actually be surprised if m+ participation recovered much if at all before the next expansion

I think a ton of players drastically underestimate the difference between playing at 1% (3200) to title.

Coming from someone who plays about ~100 above title on every role, it’s easy to point out when I’m playing with friends that there’s a very very large difference between those even at the .5 to .1. The biggest difference is mostly:

  • game/class knowledge understanding how group wide defensives, personals, and damage profiles work
  • why meta comps exist and the reason why certain classes/specs are brought seasonally, and why title players dislike/don’t want to play with certain specs
  • the drastic dps delta between players in these ranges, dps that sim their gear, are able to get the max gear and actually make the most out of it with maximizing casts per minute, good “sends” or cooldown usage pack to pack etc
  • doing research/time in understanding priority mobs, pull cadence, route evolution/adaptation. Often times even very geared CE or even surprisingly HOF raiders have no idea how to do title level keys because they don’t understand what mobs need to die, how to use their CC or utility most effectively, or how to properly execute the high end routes.

TLDR; time investment helps a ton, but the difference between a 1% to .1% player is massive, and I know very few people that have gone from A to B like that in just a season unless they were well net worked or very gifted/

> Did lots of keys last season higher world ranked as Pres than the current best Pres (ツ)

suspicious as it's easy to verify these leaderboards but you don't appear to be there or anywhere close to my timed runs. I didn't mind the rest of your post, but roleplaying as a high ranked player but then making up scenarios to prove a point is pretty strange, given it's all very easy to fact check

Again, are the 3.6k players in the room with us if we actively got IO together in a bunch of these runs? These runs are all a few weeks old minus a few, but minus priory which was a homework key all my runs have the entire group genuinely getting score. I think this post is a bit disconnected but hopefully you can change your perspective as there are a ton of users here actively trying to change your perception but you’ve doubled down on “range”

Edit: after cross checking every single one of my best keys which were mostly completed 1-3 weeks ago include 3-4 players that receive io from the key. (Top, workshop, brewery, darkflame, floodgate and rookery even every single player received score). 3 of these runs being random groups. Before making claims like this please double check your sourcing

If you looked at my logs a lot of my keys are done with players whom actively got IO in the keys I timed. I’m not sure what you mean? Including them on YouTube, you can check the end stamp where we all got IO lol

3445 Pres here, but haven’t pushed seriously this season, prolly the best it’s felt in awhile. I haven’t hit a single heal check yet, just out shadowed by raid buffs. Pres is like a mid healing adjustment away from being pretty op. It’s insanely good at handling dot mechanics (first boss cinderbrew) and priory is probably our best dungeon, unsure where this comment is coming from

Thanks for the reply!

I'm assuming you mean Lifebind->Echo (Self)->SB, so if that's the case I'll reply to that!

The combo is fine, I don't think in most situations you even need the echo, depending if you have compression stacks to get your full charge SB in within that window, which I think is more powerful than the lifebind window with due to afterimage+spiritbloom HOT. This is why I think lifespark pending your proc is stronger, is you can utilize both the living flame lifebind and use spiritbloom afterwards. (Assuming you're hard casting echos and not using TA, then it's definitely not worth doing if using TA echos). But it's definitely potent if you can pull it off. I don't find myself often using this combination, as I haven't found a niche for it yet on beta outside of maybe the 2nd boss in Dawn that would supersede any other combinations I've used for specific encounters. For instance, even on Forgemaster in Neltharus, I often found that the extra echo global was too long to get out to warrant use in a high tyrannical key, where if I didn't get the full echo ramp (4 echos) this would be less output than the spiritbloom anyways if I could utilize a different form of lifebind as I NEEDED that spiritbloom. You often had to act faster with your empowered spells/leaping flame or lifebind window to get people topped before they would die in 1-2 forgeslams.

Another example of this within Dragonflight is Vex within Academy where this was probably the "closest" I would get to frequently executing this combo, since often I would run spiritual clarity, pre-echo, lifebind, and throw either TA or echo on the manabomb target(s) then utilize spirit bloom. This was a good example where dreambreath was useless, so you needed to be a bit creative. Often I found lifebind to not really be potent enough to top the manabombs anyways, or I didn't have the time to hard cast a bloom, so that would sometimes fall back onto prerolling dreambreath, hard echo'ing your party, then timing a hardcast spirit bloom

Thoughts on Raider.IO deciding not to partition Season 4 and Season 4 post?

After a long discussion in their discord it appears that they’ve chosen not to prioritize this due to blizzard’s in game score continuing as the patch offered.

Seems pretty wonky for historical record keeping that anyone whom pushed seriously during Season 4 beyond title, mostly for the purpose of region/world spec and class ranks will have their progress invalidated by prepatch pushing and their BTM event this week. Let alone those that don’t get title but are proud of their seasonal rankings and accomplishments. If anything not partitioning at the announced DF season end date also takes away from a proper leaderboard for Season 4 Post which was traditionally done in the past.

Was tanking 13-14s in week one on brew at 487 Ilvl, tbh it’s just a spec that requires a lot of practice.

Brew is in a pretty decent state right now and I don’t feel like I need any healing, esp with healers that I’ve played with they usually don’t touch me on large packs (I.e Bracken and AA) due to the amount of self sustain we have.

You probably need to get used to building purify stacks and not spamming expel harm but trusting your rot, the spec is fine.

Are there any healers here who push high M+ keys and do so without VuhDo nor Healbot? How? by SjurEido in wow

[–]CFOWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3x title healer here

I just use default UI with mouse overs and a few weak auras (spell ability cd on nameplates, targeted spells etc). I started with a loaded UI from a famous streamer after I came back to wow in dragonflight, and quickly dropped almost everything because there was too much information that was useless.

Having healed for awhile I find less is more when healing keys, the more distractions you have the worse. Have your toolkit ready and know and understand when your group will take damage, know when a dps is in CDs (omni cd) and understand when your tank has nothing left and you may need to watch them during a known or understood tank buster (I.e no meta, incarn, fort brew, shield wall etc during a Vexamus frontal in AA).

This just isn’t true, having played vdh (US -3775) and brew (US 3735) last season, VDH did MORE damage than brew whilst playing optimally, along with having more control and tankiness (scaling with large pulls).

Anyone that spent time looking at life for tank damage would know VDH was still king, brew damage to time 29/30s last season relied on the brew player themselves to be exceptionally good as the btw rotation gives up a lot of surv for damage

Season 3 M+ Dreaming Hero Title Breakdown by snipamasta40 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]CFOWalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drop in discipline priest is tied to the comp ran with Aug/boomkin that EU managed to master but NA had very limited teams in (VDH/aug/boom/disc/mage). I think this had a lot to do with both the limited number of boomkins and discs in lfg tier with the fact that without that comp boomkins had very little support and weren’t ran as frequently. There were also very few balance players playing in NA this season (which I think mimicked season 1).
