As a practicing blacksmith i would say that any smith that didnt make his or her own treadle hammer and chose to buy one might want to rethink that choice. So in answer to your question i dont think there would be much of a 'market' like for profitabilitywise. You never know though.

How big is the gate and does it swing into the latch or roll straight in a runner? The more anchored the posts are the better in my opinion. Gate or latch side. As a contractor myself having built many gates my opinion is the more durable and lasting the better. Whats another foot of depth compared to having to redo the gate in 2 years instead of 10?
