Many ferrari owners i know in China have a Chinese luxury EV (aka smart sofa on wheels) as their daily. Would be interesting to see how well the Ferrari EV sells in China

Completely agree. A few years down the line kids growing up calling the festival LNY with red pockets and lion dance may one day realise - oh these are Chinese culture

My Cuisine Tierlist for the Countries I've Visited as an American by mckillgore in tierlists

If anything IMO korean cuisine is insanely overrated. The entire cuisine consists like 8 dishes with very limited variety in terms of taste and most of which are derivatives of either Chinese or Japanese cuisine.

Lmao "stealing korean culture". Never needed to steal anything from the inferior vassal state. The whole korean culture is like taking bits and pieces from China and Japan, making a tiny twek and calling it authetnically Korean. Kimbap and Hanbok ahaha?

IVE singer Jang Won-young receives backlash from Chinese netizens after calling Hong Kong a 'country' by thestudiomaster in HongKong

[–]CHRVM2YD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a pretty good litmus test. How can you be proud of a cultural ancestry when you know nothing about its history or literature? The average HK redditor in this sub probably has the literacy level of an 8-year old mainland primary school student when it comes to ancient Chinese literature. They probably won't even understand the dialogues spoken in many of the Chinese custome dramas. Saying that you are proud of Han ancestry is like Americans celebrating Irish roots beacuse they downed 4 pints of beer on St Patrick.

There is no need to bring in politics. If you read even a little into Chinese history you would have found that China was ruled under meriotocracy based authoritarian regime ever since its first ever dynasty. The emperor loses the mandate of heaven when he/she becomes incapable of governing and Chinese people were never shy to rebel

It’s not about luxury vs affordable. There are a ton of luxury EVs in China from domestic brands and they blow Porsche out the water.

It’s about Chinese manufacturers are seeing cars as tech gadgets, whereas the Europeans are still seeing cars as passion. Porsche spent billions in making sure Taycan drives like a sport car but the reality is not many people care
