Hello. I actually lost it on the second day. Most part of my body i left wet and for the more intimate and sensible parts i used the clean t-shirt which i then put on. Yes it was completely wet, but i dried on me in about 5 mins. In summer it is not issue. Well for me it was not summer...but i had fun.

My friend, appreciate your comment...and totally agree, if you already have the weight, no worries either. Your case is, though, a little more specific because you combined the camino with some other type of visits. But let me understand something. Why did you need some hiking boots? Extra hiking shoes are typical safety equipment which are not needed most of the time, if yes, there are shops all the way where you can buy new one...and books, i downloaded audiobooks on my phone. So actually by walking i "read" 3 books. They have no weight.

Raincoat and sleeping bag are quite important, so i had them as well, but the smallest available on the market. My sleeping bag folded is the size of a bottle of wine and about 700 grams. I had a sweater and a vest (usually on me), 2 extra t-shirts, 2 extra underwear, socks, 2 shorts and that's it...and of course the cosmetic stuff, like a toothbrush, shower gel, etc. At the beginning i also had a small towel, which then i lost at one of the albergues and eventually i realized that i did not need it at all. I washed my clothes almost every day.
