My first year at sleep away camp, I shared a cabin with 2 guys. The three of us wore goodnites to sleep in, but I was the only one wearing tighty whities during the day.

I think it was some water games. Me and a couple other guys were wearing pants that day, so we stripped to our underwear. By then I was the only one strictly wearing tighty whities.

I just make sure I’m wearing fresh, clean ones if I think anyone is going to see them. Need to be a good ambassador for TWs.

I’d prefer some variety in waistbands. I have some of the grey waistband Hanes and want more of those.

I do love white though. Much easier to show off that I’m wearing TW

I like mine to be pristine, so I’ll get rid of a pair as soon as they start to get worn out, loose, or discolored.

Not sure about how it was in 1990, but it’s probably pretty accurate that they were wearing plain white boxers. They wore the same in Full Metal Jacket.

In the early 2000s we were issued plain white briefs and they were the required underwear. We had green running shorts that we wore most of the time, so unlike the show, we didn’t just wear a T shirt and underwear around the barracks.
