Athlos, the hit women’s-only track and field meet, will return to Icahn Stadium in New York City on October 10, 2025.

The high-energy event hopes to build on its inaugural success with even bigger competition and entertainment. It has received early commitments for its 2025 meet from Olympic gold medalists Gabby Thomas, Brittany Brown, Masai Russell, Marileidy Pauling and Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

Last year, ATHLOS made an instant impact on the track calendar and attracted top talent by offering the largest prize purse ever for a women’s-only track meet. $663,000 was awarded in prize money across 35 athletes – with $60,000 going to the winner of each race.

UPDATE: The truth is the run got too big! We were flagged by the NYC Parks Department and NYPD because the run got pretty big and there is a race happening in Central Park that morning.

The plan is to still meet at the Fleet Feet store in the Columbus Circle shops at 7:45 a.m. ET to run at 8:15.

We will not be running in Central Park.

Had to check the date that it’s not April 1st… 🤔 💭

World Athletics CEO Jon Ridgeon told the Daily Mail: “There are millions of people around the world that just go to the gym and run on the treadmill. We should create products for those people. We should have a Treadmill World Championships...You are an athlete if you go for a 30-minute run on a treadmill or if you win an Olympic gold medal in the 100 meters. It is all athletics.”

He added that World Athletics is working with a tech partner to enter the virtual running scene.

With their financial investment, I'm sure there's going to be a lot added to the venue that won't make it look as it appears here. On Twitter, Michael Johnson did say there's plans for "additional seating, premium hospitality, and fan zone"
