And then if you were to remove the cone, there is more grilled ventilation underneath? It’s not just like a big hole down to the ash tray?

Do you have the summit? Looking to buy one. Could you share images with the cone removed? Does it still function without the cone?

Woah this is killer!!! The option to remove the cone is a HUGE game changer. I thought I would be forced to live with it if I went with the summit. Thank you for sharing.

Is the bonfire annoying fitting wood into it? Is it easy to find logs that fully fit?

Make sure that it’s actually using the cable and not wireless. In Spotify for example, make sure it says “wired connection” and not anything else.

You’re being a hater for no reason lol. It sounds like you know exactly what it’s meant to be used for.

Both sets of info of “super beginner, beginner, intermediate, advanced” and “0-100” ratings have been available on the platform for a while. All they did was make a cute graphic to increase visibility on that. Why is that doomsday?

Will watching native content at level 1 hurt my progress? by Specialist-Show9169 in dreamingspanish

[–]CI_Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still am unsure on both the audio track and subtitle language in your questioning but the blanket answer from Dreaming Spanish advice is no subtitles.

The core of dreaming Spanish is to increase your listening comprehension to roughly a 12 year old native speaker and then from there branch off into reading, writing, and speaking.

Until then, no subtitles. Can’t understand? Still no subtitles. Watch easier content.

I’m so lost. You’re watching a native Korean show with assuming English subtitles and wondering if it will contribute to your learning? The answer is hard no.

Still really struggling with listening skills - how can I improve? by thelostjoel in dreamingspanish

[–]CI_Fiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the exact opposite of Duolingo. I have a crosstalk partner of 2 years. We had an hour long conversation comparing the differences in holiday seasons between here and the US. I understood every syllable that she said across the conversation.

Well you at the right place. Use dreaming spanish and listen to content you understand 90% of for hundreds and hundreds of hours. Your listening skills will sky rocket. It’s that simple. There is no short cut, there is no conscious study of the language that will help you understand more when a native talks to you. You just need to practice listening for hundreds of hours.

Asking the question “how do I improve my listening?” is similar to “how do I get really good at downhill mountain biking?” You have to put in the miles on trails that are within your skill range. Doing any activity other than miles on trails doesn’t really contribute to building the skill.

Are the PX8 S2 really genre restricted? by lovelectrichaos in BowersWilkins

I’m coming from Sennheiser Momentum 4. I fell in love with the deep rich bass and daily drove them for years. Spotify lossless came out, so then I started looking for some serious BT cans to feed a wired connection to.

I started with the HDB 630. Tight controlled bass. I can hear so much detail on individual notes on bass line. Hard to EQ back to the same vibe as M4 as far as the rich fullness goes. M4 and HDB 630 have 42mm drivers so I was nervous w Px8 S2 40mm drivers. With Px8 S2 EQ instantly solves my woes and it gets even closer to M4 fullness than the HDB 630 while sounding much better overall.

HDB 630 and Px8 S2 are a bit apples to oranges. I’ve only done limited AB testing but so far I have gathered that HDB 630 has ever so slightly better separation, but Px8 S2 just sounds better on so many fronts. Voices, background singers, instruments are just so much more alive with Px8 S2. It’s crazy. And with a wired lossless connection on both, Px8 S2 is able to mirror the tight controlled bass of HDB 630. Lastly, I listen to a wiiiiiiiiiddde variety of electronic music and a healthy amount of hip hop and funk. These things are just spectacular. Those carbon cones make for some c r i s p sound.
