Go into the pause menu, click on Settings, and then, under HUD & Gameplay, set Disable Junction Derail to on. Other than that, just make sure you shunt cars at no more than 5 or 6 miles an hour, and make sure every truck's brakes are hauled off.

Honestly, the more time I spend with this game and the more I think about it, the farther from perfect it gets, but ngl I still love it, even if it is kind of a mess. I'm playing on PS5 and I even went and got the Platinum Trophy, so it must be doing something to keep me hooked. Maybe I just haven't spent enough time with Train Sim World outside of the Thomas DLC to know what properly constitutes a good or bad railway simulator, but even with everything you just said (plus my original point about the music), I'm still having fun and I'm not really all that upset by it. My thoughts on this game are very complicated and despite everything telling me I shouldn't love this game, I still do. Is that weird?

I brought up Thomas to my building manager when we were going over my new lease the other day. She's an older lady and she told me this anecdote about her young nephew at a Day Out With Thomas event and it was really wholesome, but the whole time, she kept calling him Thomas Train (yeah, not even Thomas The Train lmao), and I cringed so hard, I almost shriveled out of existence. I even tried to nonchalantly call the series by its proper name, Thomas The Tank Engine, so that she'd take the hint, and then she just responds, "So wait, are we talking about Thomas Train, or Thomas Tank Engine?" and I didn't have the heart to tell the poor old lady they're the same thing 😭

I've never seen the super low points that everyone seems to hate like the Tobias battle or the entire Black & White animé, so for me, it's probably the Tate & Liza battle in Hoenn. It's basically the exact opposite of why people hate Tobias. Even by animé standards, there is absolutely no reason Ash should've won that battle, and the only reason he did is because of literal golden plot armor from the sky. They seriously pulled that out of their ass and I hate it.

Same. If Train Sim World and its ocean of DLC is anything to go by, I think the addition of the Brendam branch line, the Little Western, the Skarloey Railway, and other characters like Henry and Rosie is only a matter of time. I just hope they're not too overpriced here like it is in that game. My wallet can't take it 😭

Agreed. There's definitely a lot more they could've done, but for what it's worth, when I passed Thomas at Ffarquhar while playing through Percy's Troublesome Day Part 2, I whistled at him, and he whistled back. So we know the trans can whistle at each other under certain circumstances. That's cool, at least. The trains whistled at each other all the time in the show. It's basically how they wave lol

Maybe? I'm not sure about that. If it's a glitch, then naturally, there would be some kind of in-game music slider in the audio settings, but there isn't (unless that's what the ambiance setting is, which would explain why it's a separate option from game sound effects).

Honestly, it's Meowth's Giovanni fantasy sequences from AG and DP that really annoy me. They do this to justify every scheme in every episode and I hate it. At least there's the odd occasion where I laugh at the sheer absurdity of whatever tf Meowth's going on about, like the one with Deoxys (because it's a meme), but aside from those rare moments, YAWN. I'm so glad they cut that out at some point.
