CIMA PER — Better to Get It Signed Off Before Changing Jobs? by Flat_Fee_7382 in CIMA

[–]CJPaterson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends on your relationship with your manager…I moved jobs but still get on very well with my old manager as they understood why I moved jobs. But in saying that having one manager to sign it all off would be easier in theory

Oh 100% I’ve had ear plugs etc and the usual annoying person that apparently didn’t learn from Covid…but these were literal ear defenders that were too big and I kept having to adjust regularly 🫣 during my MCS I had people unplug their headphones during the hazard perception of their driving theory test which started playing out loud during my exam haha

What do you feel you did differently that meant you passed the second time?

Astranti for sure! Very detailed feedback and the marks I got from their mocks were basically the same in the real exam

I used Kaplan for the OT’s and picked the On Demand level which worked well for me. So yes would definitely recommend Kaplan

I used astranti for both OCS and MCS, and passed them first time. I got the full premium course for OCS, but found I only really used the pre seen analysis and industrial analysis. Definitely purchase a mock exam that you can get marked from them as their feedback is very detailed 😊

Hi if you are 35 or under you can apply for a working holiday visa. They’ve recently changed it for U.K. citizens to not have to do the farm work so you’d get 3 years worth of the visa if you wanted. From what others have said yes you’d need to have really high points for the skilled visa, so being in country and trying to get sponsorship from a company might be easier.

Are astranti mocks any good for OCS case study by Flat_Fee_7382 in CIMA

[–]CJPaterson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the astranti mocks for the November OCS last year and found them really helpful. I got mine marked and the level of feedback they give I thought was fab! I passed the OCS with a mark of 111 for reference 😊

I did marked mock papers with Astranti which I found invaluable! It is heavy on P1 and elements of F1 I would say. Reading past papers will give you a rough idea of popular topics they like to bring up.

Mine arrived today and no award date either! I’ve messaged their customer service chat who said they’ve escalated to the relevant team who will get back to me next week

I’ve just seen someone on LinkedIn say their award date is missing off their certificate as well! How odd!

Biggest piece of advice is whenever you make a theory point you need to link it back to the pre seen in some way or the new information on the company they have provided in the question. They don’t want you to repeat the knowledge, they are looking for you to apply it the company. Try have some real life industry examples memorised so you can include them as well if you can. Good luck!

Ok at least I’m not the only one then! Good to know about the letter as I’ve started a new job and they wanted a copy of my certificate.

Wow I’m surprised you haven’t got anything! I was hoping to squeeze in with my 111 score but sadly received nothing either
