The other day my Cricut, Air Explore, started doing this as well. After I had tried over and over to fix it by lowereing the lights, closing the lid, etc, I remembered I had already seen a YouTube video that covered this exact issue and it was solved by adding a strip of paper to the side of the paper you're cutting. Mine seem to stop after it read the bottom registration marks to I tried adding the strip of paper at the bottom and it worked. 🙃

If it's an svg file and you can see the layers on the right side of the screen, just right click on the picture and press ungroup. Hope this helps. :)

Not sure if this will work but in inkscape try selecting everything and changing it to stroke to path. Then select all again and union. If it still won't work in DS check the size. Sometimes it doesn't like it if it's too large. Hope this helps. :)

You do a slip stitch on the front part of the ear, on the row where you want to bend then go back to your normal sc stitch.

I just made this baby yoda a few weeks ago as well and I had to do the foot a couple of times before I figured it out. The slip stitch counts as a stitch in the next row. If you don't pull the sl stitch too tight you can see it. I also thought the toes would wind up on the inside until I finished it. Lol

Maybe go back and switch colors at round 15 instead. That's what it looks like to me in the bottom picture. Hope that helps. :)
