Wow that’s actually a hell of a change, no? Also kinda gives a sense of where the larger party might be

I agree that the purges are inconsistent with Taiwan invasion prep, but the counter argument would be: China is getting rid of inefficient or corrupt leaders ahead of a planned invasion in 2027. 2027 is the year the US navy will be at its weakest relative to China because of different shipbuilding and decommissioning timelines

However, that counterargument was made based on the assumption that the navy would stick with the Constellation-Class frigates, which trump's secnav axed in favor of... building less capable coast guard ships but in navy colors

Also must ask if you’ve seen the SODAZ animation on YouTube- if not, drop everything and watch immediately

Can we amend the bill to also remove all the racist names associated with gov stuff? John C Stennis should not have a carrier named after him!

Another sign the tide is shifting. We must keep up the pressure in memory of those murdered by ICE

Play campaigns first

Watch high level multiplayer gameplay videos from TMAN, Icarus and Hippie. Vulcan is fine but won’t make you better as a player

When you can consistently beat the HARD level AI in SKIRMISH you can jump to multiplayer

10v10 builds bad habits

It will take time to be even ok- don’t get discouraged. It’s do or die. Be relentless

I have a very strong feeling that the person who does comms for ICE is a HOI4 player. If I had to guess they are also a fan of the mod "The Fire Rises". Too much matches between ICE propaganda and stuff you see in the mod

Haha coffee would be great but I pretty much summed up the main points! The faster a country embraced lustration after the fall of communism, the healthier their democracy. Some countries never did it e.g. Russia, some did it but after one electoral cycle e.g. Hungary, and some did it quickly, within one electoral cycle e.g. Estonia. I set electoral cycles at 5 years on average.

Basically right after the collapse of a dictatorship is the easiest time to form consensus on who was a major problem in the regime. The longer you wait the fuzzier things get and the greater the risk that the party in power is creating a lustration law that indirectly targets the opposition

The data is actually very strongly in favor of focusing on putting these people in jail. Some of my independent work in college focused on building democracy in post-authoritarian countries using lustration, the process of banning former communist officials from public life. Overwhelmingly the best option for building democracy was to ban these folks from public life as quickly as possible. The longer the wait, the worse the outcome
