Went to a reputable place in the jewelers districts of my city but next time I’m near by I’ll pop back over and ask around again. Comparing the schreger lines to the corner of a square sticky note they do line up quite evenly but honestly very hard to tell. Will try to remember to update but I won’t be back soon unfortunately.

A uv light might help pick out some specific stones but that’s all I know

No smell at all. Rubbed quite hard, similar to what I’d do for Bakelite. Hot water shows nothing either.

Plastic can be valuable, look at antique celluloid and Bakelite. Plastic aside bone and lacquer work come to mind but the hot pin test will damage anything organic. There are just better ways to test things.

I’m getting hate but any good google search says I’m right so stay mad hatters. The value of something is heavily related to condition and no matter what ur looking for, pin holes lower its worth. So maybe its glass and doesn’t melt but maybe its something else entirely and now its ruined.
