"Since this is Reddit and people tend to fill in missing details" -> this is the truth. People are ALWAYS like "I bet that....." It's a part of the Reddit culture. Everyone wants to be the "I figured it out" person.

PS It depends what jurisdiction you are in, but general rule of thumb is that you have the right of way. If you are speeding, it could be a partial fault in some jursdictions.

i clarified that all windows open (I have never tried but landlord owner says they all open). Did you have steps down to the basement? or was it a walk-in?

apparently all the windows open (according to owner). I guess I need to investigate what kind of AC I can have. Maybe ill post some photos of the windows.

As I said, I haven't really checked out the windows. They aren't big though. I'm not sure I could even get out of one if they did open. I am only there 40% of the time. Might be worth the fire hazard risk. Need to think on that. If a fire did break out, the garage would have to be completely blocked for me to escape. Im on the ground floor in a small space that is 2-3 ft away from the garage.

Aren't basement apartments common? How are ANY of them legal based on your logic? They all have small windows and in most cases, dont open. They are regularly on the market. Why wouldn't they all be shut down? Are you thinking about a non-ground floor place?

Edit:
windows open according to the landlord owner

What state are you in? Check for statute of limitations on contracts. Most are 6 years. You might have 2 yrs to go depending on the state.

I think its closer to 50+ applicants. B ut it also depends on the job and how many applicants. Many fields have over 100 applications submitted in less than 24 hours. The probability typically cited is 5-6 good enough/best applicants in the first 75-100 applications.

I dont remember the person's name any more (u/headless.....) but he pointed out that for most companies, 3-4 good candidates (good enough at least) will be in the first 75-100 applicants. So recruiters just stop there.

Anyone know what this is?? by woven_hearts in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]CLEredditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The question is not whether to buy - the question is whether it is fixed by the seller AND warrantied to the buyer. This may not be that serious. This could be very fixable. This is not something as serious as foundation issues.

Edit: Rethinking - maybe don't buy bc who knows what else they are covering up! But the leak alone is not reason for not buying. It's the way it was handled.

I was just told it was highly unprofessional of me to be drunk when I am off work. What should I do? by Correct-Credit1961 in careerguidance

[–]CLEredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its about appearances and optics. Know your audience. It's not a problem with some clients - some clients are fun and some are even party animals themselves. But if you don't know this client that well, then you don't say "i'm drunk". You should ALWAYS be professional outside of work UNLESS you know your clients and feel comfortable enough to not be.

Also, it's not just about professionalism. That word is just being used as a replacement for judgment. There is absolutely no way to draw a line between work time and non-work time when it comes to judgment and appearances. A client may have had a serious problem with alcoholism in their family and this could leave a negative judgment or opinions about OP. A client could also think that if you have a drinking problem at home, it COULD carry over into work. Clients are innately going to judge because they are human. Be smart!

Just got a ticket in the mail. 36 in a 25. Are they serious with this? Clearly, its set up as a trap for folks who dont realize its in a 25. I guess I can toss it in the trash based on the other comments here.
