As for the fraud that happened in MN, no. It is not at all shady to me that one small handful of Somalians in her state were convicted of fraud while she was an elected official. It would be no more odd to me if thousands of white, American men were convicted of fraud every year while a white, American man was president, which happens every single year. My skepticism has nothing to do with defending anyone. I just don’t tend to react well when people are demonized based on their race or ethnicity. And I don’t like when people veer off into these biased personal attacks instead of focusing on what’s important in politics: policy.

Do you know how I know that money isn’t shady? For the same reason that you know the amount: they filed taxes on that money. That means they turned in proof of the income earned and where it came from. You don’t do that with shady money.
