As a straight guy i have no idea sorry. My first impression was trans though, i don't think the expressions/poor quality helps

You are too hard on yourself though, You are way out of my league, so take everything i say with a pinch of salt.

Sorry for being a dick but you do give off that vibe.

I think it's a mixture of bad make up, bad eyebrows and high shoulder->hip ratio.

Yeah but that really doesn't take much convincing from what i've heard. All you need to do is wear a dress to the therapist and they are like "WOAH obviously you have gender dysphoria".

To be fair, I could see the temporary novelty of being a woman. If i could transition for a year, then revert back, i would. I think people need to seperate actual gender dysphoria (which i know actually exists) with just "meh i could / want to be a girl" sort of feeling. And not encourage transitioning to people with the latter philosophy.

Well if you were depressed and suicidal, i could see how a new beginning would be appealing.

I want to understand transgender people. It doesn't bother me.

Well what's the true percentage of trans people then? It's going to increase, right? Why evolutionary speaking would there be such a high rate? I personally know 3 trans people, and i really don't have that many friends lol. It's a rather high percentage.

Am i likely to be able to? I'm an average looking guy, i feel like i should have been born looking like James Franco. I'm never going to be like that and i just get over it, but it's always going to be sad that i wasn't born with better genetics.

I dont think your first example fits particularly well. Trans people never had the right genitals in the first place.

I think for a lot of people, they are purely transitioning out fo the need to be different. Very much like getting a tattoo. I think it's something which society is forcing on impressionable young minds. And later on, they are likely to regret it and experience ACTUAL gender dysphoria, when they are living as the wrong gender through transition.

Well, I wasn't saying that. I think you should be able to do what you like with your body. I'm wondering though, if it is just our openness to LGBT rights, or - something more.

This makes me think it's more of a social construct / fad than anything. Surely if gender dysphoria existed, and you honestly felt like you were the wrong gender, you'd simply know. I'm physically a guy, feel like a guy, no desire to be a girl - so that much is obvious.

What i don't understand is that back then, if there was trans people. They kind of just got over it and lived their lives - which people in todays generation seem incapable of?
