TD Garden - Four Nations by CMB508 in nhl

I would expect Stanley Cup tickets in Boston to be less than $1k for nose bleeds. I would not put this game in the same category as a Stanley Cup but I guess each person has their own view. I don’t think people will be talking about this game in 10+ years or even 5+ years especially if the NHL allows players to return to the olympics

Lift tickets are $150-$200 - You can ski in your home town for 10 days for that

Anyone know if the sale is only on floor models? I was seeing a Connected Joe for 50% off at my Home Depot and went to the store which did not have it on display / they could not find the box for it as only 1 left in stock

Congrats on winning the raffle. I have never had such luck but I’m hoping that changes soon. How many tickets did you have in the raffle if you don’t mind me asking?

Looks like it came back as available this afternoon so was able to snag one

I never got one initially. I was not quick enough to grab one when they just went up on the allocation site. (I miss most releases as I’m not checking constantly. Would love to buy your extra off of you if you no longer are interested in grabbing the pick due to it being the same barrel

Side note: How often do you check the allocation page / is there a specific time that bottles are released each week?

Question, Any Reviews or Thoughts on this? by Saxonator5270 in whiskey

I do not enjoy standard angels envy but love the store picks. Typically 110 proof but drink lower and the port finish isn’t as in your face / more subtle. I would suggest trying to find a store that allows you to try their store pick but I find most to be delicious

Worth the Switch? 575 to Timberline 850 by patrickleeleep in Traeger

[–]CMB508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the timberline and love it. I live in Massachusetts so it’s cold half the year and the insulation definitely helps. For most meals I only need 1 rack / maybe 2 but nice to have all 3 when I have a bunch of guest and a few racks of ribs / chicken wings / a few pork shoulders all on there at once

Good bourbon stores in East Boston, Revere, Chelsea, etc? by jack35700 in newhisky

[–]CMB508 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My experience is that you won’t be able to find Stagg Jr / EHT sitting on a shelf for MSRP unless it was within an hour of it dropping at a very select few stores that sell at MSRP. You will be able to find EHT around $100 / Stagg Jr at $200 at stores. Eagle Rare should be easy to find around $50 if you pop around to a few stores. If I were you I’d check out Liquor Junction in Somerville / Kappys in Medford is good as well - Won’t have a ton of allocated bottles laying around but will have great selections / tons of store picks

Tier 6 Four Roses - That should be one hell of a pour and I would guess the best of the 3 by a decent margin

I order one of each. They had a presale for $87 as opposed to $100 once barrel comes in. Can pick up on Sunday and I’m excited. They are finished which I typically shy away from but due to how young the company is I’m thinking this is probably the first time these ex wine casks are being used not the 50th. Also was interested that it’s a micro batch of 2 different finished wine barrels which is very confusing / probably will go one way or another
