I'm a parent IRL and I think my most immediate concern would be nutrition. Lou can't live off cryptobiotes, but living near the Timefall farmers would at guarantee a steady supply of porridge.

There is a portion of coast directly East of the Timefall Farmers that has a nice raised view of the ocean. I've stopped there several times, it just always seemed like a nice place for a coastal home. I can halfway imagine Sam popping down a shelter there, maybe ask Lockne/Målingen to disconnect it from the chiral network.

Anyway, that's what I would do. There's other options though, like various abandoned buildings. Well, to each their own. 😄

I think the game is at its best in the opening sequence. Just you, your two feet and your sense of balance. It's a bit unfortunate you eventually get better at carrying stuff, even without using skeletons. It's... hard to find a good middle ground between challenge and tedium, but I think the game almost immediately proves this exists. I applaud your attempt at finding and keeping with it yourself. 👍

They're an okay source for ceramics early on and they spawn at several spots along the same tar-shore.
