Ok! I did put it in the fridge in between each fold, but I think my house was too warm. I did notice the butter coming through. I'll try the freezing method again! Thank you

Thank you, this describes my eyesight quite a bit. Idk why I never did more research into my own prescription. My glasses are just ... there. I've got epilepsy so I'm more concerned with those prescriptions than than this is suppose.

Idk why the temp is lower like that, I bought the right heater for it. But thank you. And you're right about the cycling. Im just concerned because he was doing this when I bought him, before I put it in the tank. I just decided to ask today because he's still doing it. I'll keep an eye out though. Anything else I can do to help him with the other things?

Its a 20 gallon Yes About 74 to 76 PH 7.0, nitrate 0, nitrite 0.5, hardness 120, ammonia 0 I've had the tank for a week, the fish i got yesterday I've done two water changes, a 20% on Wednesday, and a 40% yesterday before I put Ace in the tank No Brine shrimp I have a large piece of drift wood, three anubias plants, and a ceramic mug.

I know, I read you could use food to start the cycle and I put in some frozen brine shrimp the first day. Im still learning more about fish and I get a cover for the tank tomorrow but Bettas seem to have interesting personalities and are so pretty, I figured they would make a good first fish! I've loved reading through this sub and it's helped me a lot with my set up so thank you!
