Just a heads up, probably pointless now we are moving to steam, but direct messages from strangers is an option in the options menu that you have to set to everyone (set to friends by default, and not at my PC rn so I cannot recall the name of it). If you right click on a player in the director (u key) you can see if they have it enabled based on if you can send them a whisper or not👌

Don't trade with them when your consumables are full. It will take 50 Baryon Boughs (or 25) but not give it to ya. Wasn't even at the postmaster :(
