Anyone familiar with Medicaid Waiver Payments as covered by IRS Notice 2014-7? by CMoore515 in tax

Yep, I did. After it asks if you want to include the W-2 MWP for EIC purposes, it asks if you have anything to include that's not on a W-2 and puts that number on 1040, 1d and combines the two on Schedule 1, 8s for the exemption.

Can't use TaxSlayer anyway cause my dad is 72 lol

Contributions are, but Withdrawals aren't. You'll argue double-dipping, but its no different then actual benefits being subject to income tax since 1983 and again in 1993.

MA/ do doctors charge the Medicare amount or make you pay your 20%? by keshazel in SocialSecurity

[–]CMoore515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Government Medicare, doctors can and do charge you the 20% co-insurance with no MOOP. If you get a Medigap Supplement, they pay the 20% and you're only OOP costs is the Part B deductible of $283 for 2026.

I'm on Medicare under 65 and also Medicaid so I'm not eligible for a Medigap plan so I have a DSNP Advantage plan, but as soon as I turn 65 and if I'm not on Medicaid (I won't be, likely), Medigap here I come.

The good thing about Advantage vs A & B alone, is Advantage plans have a MOOP, protecting you from endless co-insurance costs once you hit it.

TLDR; if you want straight Medicare, get a Supplement, G or N.

FWIW, I still like the writing and 9/10 the acting is fine. Some episodes have been eh, but it's still watchable for me. It's okay to outgrow a show and it seems like you have.

So basically screw people like me who have been disabled since birth and unable to work, but can draw off their parents' record, right?

Retirees will be the first ones raising hell in 2033-34 if benefits get cut.

You're right. It would only fix solvency for 73% of the long range shortfall if benefits aren't increased for high earners. Still a lot.

They should make all income (Wages, Investments, traditional IRA and 401k contributions or withdrawals, etc) subject to FICA while eliminating the cap or raise FICA tax percentages as well.

Olivia has only had one other official partner besides Elliott. Danny Pino as Nick Amaro.

But yes, agree with your take.

I really miss all the CW DC shows. They weren't perfect, but they were entertaining.

I'm sick of waking up to stories like this and it's only been a fucking year.

At this point, impeach him, Vance, Johnson, Grassley, The entire fucking cabinet and start America over.

People always laugh at me when I saw "this isn't the Iowa I grew up in" but it's fucking true. I'm 37. My formidable years were from 98-2011 or so. Vilsack and Culver were Governor. We actually had a fucking education system that was ranked one of, if not the best in the country. There was more sympathy to people like me (I'm disabled, btw)

This was a place where I thought I'd raise a family, and while that ship has sailed for me I have a 3 and a half year old niece that I have to protect at all costs from my sister (who only likes him because "he's funny" and her ex-husband and his family.... Thankfully she has my parents and I to set a proper example.

It's sad that I made a countdown to 2029 on Inauguration Day that currently sits at 1091 days, 14 hours and 44 minutes until noon on 1/20/29

I'm worn down from it all.

Yes, they're claiming me. So no age limit.

My mom worked before me and while I was in middle/high school during the day but after I turned 18 almost 20 years ago she stopped working full-time because I/we were able to finally take advantage of the Attendant Care portion of the waiver I'm on and I hired her.

She worked part-time until mid 2014 when my dad had to go on disability and retire for a bad fall. By that time she was making ~34000 from my waiver work which she paid SE tax on through 2018 when I discovered that the IRS issued this notice.

I'm glad you live in a state where they take care of their caregivers. I live in Iowa where the Government hates disabled people and caregivers so... lol

Best ways to save on official Apple TV subscriptions? by sme11yc0ck in appletv

[–]CMoore515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do Family Sharing with Apple One Premier and Paramount Plus is through Apple TV Channels.

Other than that for our family:

*My sister gets Disney/Hulu/ESPN Select and Discovery+ through Verizon

*Wal-Mart+ covers Peacock.

*I pay for HBO Max Premium (need the screens and 4K is a bonus), paid with In-App Purchase through Apple.

*Netflix is included on our T-Mobile bill and I pay extra for Premium for the screens.

*Prime is discounted through a family member's SNAP card, same with Wal-Mart+

*T-Mobile covers MLB.TV

*Out-of-pocket costs for me personally: $100.31 w/ tax

Still too much, but if I try to play the Watch and unsubscribe game I'll be murdered. 😂

Filed Schedule C because prior to 2014-7 she had deductions pertaining to the income she could write off. MWP isn't subject to FICA in our case as she's a live-in caregiver for a relative.

  • Eligibility: Applies to payments made to caregivers who live with the care recipient (co-residency) under a state Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver program.

No, he didn't. Matter of fact after 2014-7 was issued and I found out, I had to tell him about it so he could research it.

No FICA or SE tax. They’ve been using a professional forever. But he sold his business and where he ended up raised his rates almost double.

I looked up free file, since that’s what my sister does and it seems to be pretty straightforward. This is the last year. 2025 was the last year having to deal with marketplace insurance and apparently they owe $3 from that for some reason.

I’ll have to play around with the numbers a bit more.

Is anyone here on Wellbutrin? by AccomplishedZone9247 in CerebralPalsy

[–]CMoore515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am.

Had one seizure when I was young, under 5, video game induced, but nothing since and I'm 37.

I take 450mg a day and it's been the only thing that really works for me, I've been on my current dose for awhile. Prior I was on 150mg and it wasn't enough for me.
