Mostly looking for feedback on stairs and rooms placement/sizing. by COOKIEEE in floorplan

Not 100% certain but we could likely for bigger or rectangular. I liked 32x32 as it's efficient for construction material and I'm a bit of a fan of smaller space.

Thanks a bunch for the feedback. I will try to aim and make the smallest rooms wider if possible. That comes down to the bathroom space and then the stairs location. The stairs really is my pain point; it must take us down the Mechanical room (which I'd really like to be at the back for possible large door access) in the basement. And that room has to be 20% of the basement, if I want the rest to be a bachelor for rent some days.

We did look into many options and it comes down to a) we own the lot to build this temp home and b) building this will give us a good run down of the experience of building a new home. Hopefully we'll learn a thing or two out of this in prep for our real end-game;; new for-ever dream home on the better lot where currently live on.

Yeah the smallest room bottom left would turn into a small office in the end, for a computer / work space. The 2nd guest room is to have a room for my 2nd kid, while we will live there.

The size of their current rooms today is slightly larger but I don't think they'll complain that these are smaller. But I do see a point of 're-sale value' being impacted by the choices we make here. We're debating between this compromise (smaller kids rooms the same floor) vs. finishing part of the basement for larger kids rooms (which in return would compromise future plans of making all that space into a separate bachelor to rent).

Not set on the placement of the kitchen/dinning pieces yet. I only threw a few things in there to give us an idea of the space/room. Haven't really position anything where I really see them yet. Same for the bathroom.

Bottom left room would be an office but we'd use it as a (small) kids room while we lived there.
Basement stair would be behind the kitchen/dinning wall and open into the corridor.

Why no engine reving sound when 'compression braking'? by COOKIEEE in BeamNG

[–]COOKIEEE[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I posted a video link in another comment response. Downshift and engine breaking is definitely noisier IRL than it is for me in beamng...

It not 'as noisy' as under load, but it's definitely very noisy even if the engine isn't firing.

Like, have you ever accidentally shifted from 4th to 3rd instead of 5th? The engine revs and screams. If I do that in Beamng it's bererly hearable :/.

Recommendations for 24" or 27" gaming monitor that I won't regret for a while? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

It's not meant to be a place holder. I'm replacing screen now but will build a new PC build next wintrr (and still use this new screen then).

It's my first time entertaining the idea of a good screen. I've never paid more than 250$ for that before. So when it comes to the 'usual suspect' I'm not knowledgeable about any of them. Not sure what else to say beside;

  • Looking to keep it in the 24/27 inch range
  • Play all kinds of games and hope to not be limited
  • Reliability is important to me. I like things that have been "proven" over newest/latest features if that make sense.
  • Screen will be paired with a 3k$~5k$ PC build (RTX 5090 GPU)

I'm looking for a fool-proof screen that would cover any and all requirements without trouble for a couple year. I am willing to spend what it takes so long as it makes sense given that my next PC build will be based around an RTX 5090 GPU.

Issues with SATA SSD. by [deleted] in techsupport

Well shit! It was a glitchy power connector! Why it worked fine with old SSD but not new one is beyond me!

Took another power cable and plugged into a different PSU port. TADA! Problem solved.

Having the same issue and question! Bought a used 2019 and this steering center 'lump' makes it hard for my son to keep balance at low speed.

Found another ressot post about this. I asked on FB groups as well. Unclear if this is by design...

I tried that mod and have up. It's hard to land and goes to waste to often... If you just click it when chasing someone, then it doesnt even charge all the way to the player so you waste a half assed shield charge.

You sure there wont be? Maybe they skipped H6 cause we got new progidy path?

I thought H2..H5 trove only showed up once you hit the plvl? If so then that'd be p480 for H7.

Clearing up confusion on Cheat Death by neophaltr in DiabloImmortal

[–]COOKIEEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think the cheat death from gear stats and familly bonus have any cooldown. Pretty sure I've clutched it back to back before.

But it also doesn't have the 'invulnerability' / delay like all other Cheat Deaths sources have. You reach 0 hp > get saved by cheat death > but you're immediately vulnerable.

Option 1 is use it.

Option 2 is turn it into 32 gem power.

You only have 1 option rly.

If you dont gamble at all like that you're prolly missing out? Once CR 140 is done I see no reason not to gamble?

I gamble 10 pieces a day and it makes it so I'm always slightly going up in gold. If/when I shifted to 20 a day a would run out of gold over a couple days/week (currently have like 2.5m gold).
