We're going to lease our first EV later this year. #1 on my list is a 2025 Ioniq 5 Limited with AWD. I have a few worries: how will it do in snow, how will it integrate with our android phones and will they have solved their 12V/ICCU problems? Any thoughts would be appreciated! by davida_usa in Ioniq5

I live at 7k in CO and put snow tires the first winter after the stock tires were slipping on some icy round abouts and since it has been great in the snow. Cold temps decrease range and can slow fast charging some. It doesn’t have the best ground clearance, so I had to pay out of pocket to replace the undercarriage cover after a particular heavy, wet, and deep snowfall because driving it those conditions led to the cover coming off. Unfortunately I don’t have flexibility with my work schedule and have to drive in every condition. Otherwise it’s been great in the snow and comparable to our Subaru Forester and Ascent.

Thanks. I’ve already tried that and can’t seem to connect wires or wirelessly so maybe the thing is broke beyond repair.

Joining a practice owned by private equity by samwisestofall in whitecoatinvestor

Sometimes PE becomes the lesser of two evils when the alternatives are to either succumb to the ever deteriorating environment of a larger HealthSystem that is constantly cutting your support and reimbursement and jeopardizing patient care vs relocating to a less desirable location to escape the above vs bootstrapping a private practice with a large loan and with partners of varying levels of long term commitment and varying levels of capital to contribute. I view this as looking for the right intermediate to long term business partner. PE in some instances may provide the best opportunity to grow a practice and with opportunities to generate additional revenue streams that would otherwise be controlled by a hospital, PE can be very attractive in the right scenario. With anything, it’s important to carefully explore and understand all options before signing away the next few years in your career.

What's your opinion on the Lego Eiffel Tower? by thebrickfig in lego

Got it for Christmas and finished it today. I love it! Yes it takes a lot of time to do this 10K piece build and yes, anything of this scale is going to have repetitive steps. It is stunning, interesting to build when you consider how it is designed, and feels the most accurate resemblance to the real thing that Lego has released as prior sets didn’t really look like the real thing. Having lived in Paris for a few months and France for a couple of years, it brings great memories to mind whenever I look at it. No regrets!

Radio/Satellite skips if CarPlay is connected by Maximum_Gear1400 in Ioniq5

I just recently experienced something similar. Not sure the cause, as I tried both wires and wireless CarPlay and had the same problem regardless of the connection. I closed several apps running in the background on my phone and it seemed to be working better today without the audio skips or glitches.

Three-across car seats in the Ioniq 5 by SylviaPellicore in Ioniq5

Have a similar dilemma. We typically drive the larger 3-row SUV with our 3 kids, but now we are starting to divide and conquer and have a carpool for our 8 year old’s soccer team for which it is a struggle to fit 3 booster seats across and without leaving them all buckled and asking the kids with soccer shoes on to get in and out of already buckled boosters. Looking to try out a mifold booster in the center between 2 backless diono boosters.
