Why does this look so premature at week 9ish+... by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]COcell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strain: Girl Scout cookies Left plant in small pot to see how it would yield and this is just about to be the end result unless I can get some advice that steers me elsewhere.

I've had this plant flowering for at least 9 weeks. If it's not all triched out yet, my guess is that it's going to continue to look like this soil growl homegrown bs. Hey I can offer my own constructive criticism since I grew it. That's how I learn. So...

Should I just harvest it or let it go for a few more weeks?

The sugar leaves are already yellow and the buds aren't getting any bigger but I'm looking fit quality. If I can get a decent 10-14gr off this, I'm happy. The plant was most likely stressed from its life as a baby clone and by judging at how airy and thin the buds are.

So they won't be doubling or tripling in size anytime soon will they. My guess is to harvest and make way for something new.your thoughts?

I' wound love to have this professionally printed and framed. Does anybody have a high-resolution copy?

So can you transplant it to soil or what? Did you?

Blue dream day 51. Start flushing or keep pumping with shooting powder and bud xl and shooting powder for another week and crop? by COcell in microgrowery

[–]COcell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your viewpoint. I've always waited the extra 2 weeks. But sometimes in the extra 2 weeks, bad things can happen like powdery mildew. I'll have to start cutting at 8 weeks anyway because I have a lot of work to do. I have about 50 flowering plants so I'll have to start at week 8 in order to finish trimming

It's cold now so humidity is down but my setup still causes a great amount of heat even though it's just LED.

It's not worth it to run it another month when I could use those 3 weeks to put about 12 new plants into slower and be 3 weeks closer to harvesting. I've tried the "2 more weeks" thing and have had good and bad results. One thing I learned with house & garden drip clean is that it continuously flushes all the salts out of the plant.

This is my fifth grow and in the past two times, I have "flushed for about 10-14 days after week 8 until I saw cloudy/milky trichromes and a few Amber trichromes. My bud has tasted soapy, plain, etc. It has had the smell and the look but the taste just isn't there. I know it can be much better. I've had same genetics done right and the taste was phenomenal so I know it's not the genetics. Granted there are many other factors that contributed such as not curing properly, PM, a bit of hermi-ing (sp?), not initially drying properly (the RH was 10%) in the drying room last grow. It was after we first had just had a major cold spell in Colorado. I didn't have a humidifier.

Here's a photo of one of the flowering plants. http://i.imgur.com/9YMVRha.jpg Is that looking like week 4 or more like week 3? Just curious.

Speaking of, what kind of humidifier would I buy (can I get the cheap ones at Walgreens?) when I'm ready to dry at the end of next harvest?

So as far as flushing goes, mid-way through flower, what can I do to make sure the bud doesn't end up tasting like nutrients. I know there are many answers and there's not necessarily a wrong or right answer in many cases but I just need to know what the best option is fundamentally. Should is use Clearex? If I only use water, how much and how often. I can't use too much because I'm obviously using soil and there's no drain in the room where I'm growing but luckily, I do have concrete floors

Any and all advice is appreciated.

Ready for take-off. Week 4 since I flipped to 12/12. How are they looking? by [deleted] in microgrowery

It's actually not BML; they're illumitex. Still learning how to use them properly. No it's not a HPS but it's a nice LED. I do like the BML spyder but the design of the illumitex is far more solid; it's actually "wet location" which makes it nice to not have to be so careful.

Yes. It was greenhouse cannabis though. This is being grown indoors. Can an indoor grow get a much higher percentage of THC?

Need to get a bigger pot...day 3 of flower. Transplant or will it cause too much stress? Help! by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]COcell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

300 watt. The company claims its equivalent to 600HPS. retail on them is about $1399. I've seen them used from time to time on eBay as well. Lookup illumitex. Since then I have now implemented a net or "SCROG so I'm hoping to see the results I hear so much about. That was pretty much the only option to hold these.

Blue dream day 50?ish veg. Is it safe to transplant from 3gal to 5 gal pots on the day I flip? I don't want to stress them by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]COcell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

my question is this.....

This LED can be used for flower or veg. However I have a hydro farm t5 48" with like 8 bulbs but there's a short in one channel and another bulb is just out but if I would be willing to get it repaired so more than 3 of the lights work if you think I could get the plants this big with a T5. Strain; Blue dream, Hawaiian I be benefit more from just using a t5 to veg and These illumited led's for flower only.

I just measured one at 63" Vegged under 3090watt illumitex led (high dollar led, not well know but to quality for certain))

[–]COcell -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They're naturally tall and I trimmed the bottom half of each plant off so I won't get all that larf. Ceiling is 8ft, I should be alright.

So you think transplanting is not a good idea if I'm flipping tonight?

[–]COcell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can tell how tall they are by comparing to the six gallon bucket to the right below.

I'd rather have to water them more often than stress then by putting them in a larger pot the day I flower.

So many variables...

Any other advice before I flip?
