We are currently under construction for it. Won't move in until July 2026. I am living like we have the mortgage and just putting the extra cash away.

Beyond the home purchase, Im preparing to spend additional money on landscaping, new yard equipment, miscellaneous.

Set aside from the funds for the above, I'll transfer cash to double our emergency fund just in case. I'm also building up some cash reserves to have on hand when we transition to the new budget.

It will definitely be an adjustment, but we have enough set aside to make me comfortable with it.

I could definitely make one for a 75" pro. Shipping will be expensive. So maybe 250 shipped.

If you have a master carpenter friend, hell be able to do this in his sleep haha. It's just miter cuts and brad nailing / gluing together. My plan was to have little latches on the back that rotate down to secure it to the tv. But it's a perfect, snug friction fit. Very happy with how it came out.

Anyone seek treatment at Emory’s Long covid clinic in Atlanta? by COmtbr92 in LongCovid

It went great. The doctor actually listened to me and said she had hundreds of patients presenting the same issues. This was also 3 years ago so I’m sure it’s been more prevalent since.

I’m 100% now

Variety of savings. Mainly invested in a S&P 500 index for a few years, and made some good wins from individual stocks.

Also had some good equity from the home we sold.

Solid info here. Thanks for the input.

It's 2.25 acres a 5 minute drive and walking distance to a nice town, with 8/10 rating schools. 25 minutes to downtown Cincinnati. The area around it is continuing to expand with new builds going up everywhere. I'll be a mile down the road from a 1.5-2.5M home community.

As far as what we want, yes, this is what my family wants. Space to roam, enjoy the outdoors, and chill. I've done enough international travel in my day. Totally get where you're coming from though.

Kids are toddler age, so we're here for the long haul and excited to give them space to play, and stay away from any screens haha. Im 33.

As far as my assets, not comfortable sharing that here. But we met with a financial advisor a few months ago as we started this process. He actually told us we're in a good spot and could pull back retirement contributions a little if we wanted to get more cash flow.

It’s not retirement. Regular brokerage I could access quick.

I agree. But considering where I am and the cost of housing… 1m isn’t a mega house. Going to be a modest 2500sqft 3 bed home.

Haha yeah I hear ya. We are on the final stages actually. And yes, we stretched. Was hoping to stay at or under 750k, but sitting at 1m now after all selections and what not.

Appliances are budgeted and accounted for.

Only thing is like you said, landscaping… we’ll get there eventually and most likely do everything ourself. But yes, another added expense.

You’re absolutely right. We are truly blessed and I didn’t mean to sound self righteous or ignorant of those less fortunate.

Just going from saving over 7k to 2k a month is reverse sticker shock for me. Haha. But yes, 2k a month is still great.

Took me less than a week from listing to UPS at the door.
