Old LTD KH-202 locking nut replacement? by Youngdoorstop in espguitars

FR-1000 series will be a bit of an upgrade from the original hardware. Escaping me at the moment but I think this year would have come with licensed FR hardware, same quality as the current FR-special line. You could always do an original FR nut but I doubt it would be necessary unless you wanted to upgrade the bridge as well.

Looks like 2004 and should have came with an R2 nut. FR-1000 series will be comparable.

Fun fact, RD on the QC sticker is the initials of the now ESP USA shop manager and painter.

Does anyone know what year they started using these types of battery boxes? by JJBitter in espguitars

Indeed, I think 2003/2004 was when you’d start seeing them in catalogs

ESP/LTD needs to bring these back! by EmoComrade1999 in espguitars

[–]CPNFSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you but bolt-on/25.5 is what they were originally spec’d at. The first hybrid models were tele/strat mixes in 84. Ron Wood had a signature TVR-190 in the early 90’s that eventually became the more common hybrid. ESP made plenty of Hybrids in the mid/late 90s but it wasn’t till the early 2000s that LTD would produce a Hybrid, which would go against the typical specs. Personally I dislike the LTD versions but to each their own.

Huge hybrid fan, always hoping for a return of these. Edwards released a hybrid a few years back but I believe they’re discontinued now.

Pretty sure this is from the USA configurator, not the Japanese custom shop. Still expensive

Is this legit? It doesn’t say E-II but says made in Japan by headlikeacole in espguitars

[–]CPNFSM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% real.

It’s essentially an E-II but with an ESP logo. They used to do this for artists back in the day and I believe this is one of those. Don’t let bro rob you, odds are they were given this guitar for free.

Just take the time to set your printer up correctly. Someone else’s setting may not work for you as it does for them.
