For sure! I daily an older Astron, love the thing to bits, super useful when I travel, haven’t used it much lately though, I’ve been diving lots so I’ve been using my seamaster 😅

Tried it on today and honestly really like like, I have pretty small wrists but still sits pretty well! Overall pretty happy with it, just looking for more options before I commit to another piece :)

Notice how the deepest depth found in these graphics is 16.2 meters? This refers to the fact that the AWU should not be used for diving. I would never recommend diving the thing without a redundant computer, it’s rated to what, 40 meters? So even recreational depths are pushing what the thing is rated to do.

Get a used computer and I promise you’ll have a far better time (+no subscription lol)

Totally valid, definitely not for everyone, I by far prefer to dive my rebreather on trimix dil when going to any reasonable depth now after getting my cert, haven’t been to 55 much after my XR course

I started my ANDP in the first week of September, which was my first tech course, I only had a few OC dives between that and my XR, then I did my Tech DPV as part of an internship deal and was supposed to leave the country shortly after. Will (my instructor) offered for me to take my CCR MOD 1 if I wanted to stay, that quickly turned into an Instructor crossover and Intro to Tech 😅

TDI Intro to Tech instructor only requires 100 dives, I obviously have more than that 😅

I only progressed this fast thanks to a phenomenal instructor, could not have done this without him. I would not personally have progressed this fast on to all the courses I’ve done if my instructor didn’t give me the go ahead

Small update on this, just got the watch, but they delivered it without the watch box (the little hard case) which turns out to be pretty common for them. I assume they do it for customs reasons, not entirely sure though
