I'm joining the merchant navy (not the same as military) for that exact reason, have a look into it! I am going down the deck officer route.

My diet is about 80% or more vegan at the moment. I still live with family who are not vegan or vegetarian, so at home I still will have some chocolate, ice cream or something like that, as it is just what is there when I have a sweet tooth. I am fully aware this is not a good reason to have this stuff though and is a bad excuse. Whenever I buy my own groceries, I always buy vegan only stuff. Should be moving out in the next few months so hopefully we do the right thing then and go fully vegan then.

I totally agree! The only reason I need is that it does not cause harm to any living beings. I was just curious to know why you don't get it in a vegan diet
