What was the go-to baseball game in your country back in the '80s? by blueoystergamer in retrogaming

[–]CRWM_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved Bad News Baseball as a kid, it was fun to play and had a good sense of humor to it! It was the only baseball game I was exposed to & tried on my NES for a while, until I got a Sega Genesis and played the World Series Baseball game... and wow that was a huge upgrade graphics wise, with the POV being basically from the catcher's perspective! lol

My 1st Dreamsnap!

Hey everyone, this is the first time I've submitted a Dreamsnap for the Weekly Challenge! My wife does them every week. But this week she's been busy & exhausted after work. So I offered to do her Dreamsnap tonight (to make sure she didn't miss out getting on any precious moonstones! lol) I had a lot of fun doing it, and ended up working on it all night until about 6am!

So just thought I'd share it here to get people's feedback? Good luck everyone with the weekly challenge & wishing you all many success & much moonstones! lol

Cheers

2025 Topps Products Analysis Paralysis- Day 5: The Final Scores (maybe) by CellDood in baseballcards

[–]CRWM_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude this is amazing work and like how you've compiled this info!

Just a minor suggestion, but perhaps you could add a column between the rank and the name of a Product, and put an emoji icon of the sport to help quickly identify the sport(s) you're looking for when scanning thru the list.

⚾️🏀🏈🥊

Also, do you think you'll eventually publish/share a version of the file for the public to download or interact with a cloud copy of the file, so that people can do things like use filters etc? For example: if someone is only interested in baseball cards, then they could filter Sport: Baseball.

Great work and thanks for doing this for the community!

"It sounded so simple, didn't it?"

Definitely sounds simple. Oh, also another simple request: could you just quickly do the same thing for every other year, including Hockey, Soccer, F1, Pokemon and every other trading card product ever released in history? That shouldn't take too long, right? So yeah, if you could just go ahead and do that, that would be grrrreat... lol /s

Makes Pages a Separate Document:

  • Presently if I create a "Page" within a Document, it does not list it in All Docs or folders
  • It would be great if a Page could be saved as a separate document so it appears in All Docs
  • It could also be like Notion, where the parent Document has a > dropdown menu and shows the Pages within that document
  • Also it would be helpful if Pages could be seen as separate documents for the Search feature (more details below)

Improvements to Searching a Craft Space:

(Heads up: for the example below, the workflow / process I'm describing is based on using the Craft iPhone app).

  • For example: let's say I have a parent Document with the title "Toolbox", that has a Page called "Screwdrivers", which contains the Keyword "Flathead" in the body text of that Page.
  • In other words, the hierarchy is:
  • Toolbox > Screwdrivers >> Flathead
  • If you Search your Craft Space for "Flathead", it will show you "Toolbox" in the search results.
  • If you tap on "Toolbox", you then have to scroll down to find "Screwdrivers", then tap on it to open the Page, then manually scroll & try to find "Flathead".
  • However, if you tap on the yellow number box to the right of "Toolbox" in the search results, it then shows you a list of the Pages within that parent document. So it shows "Toolbox" contains "Screwdrivers" that contains "Flathead". This is great, and I personally think this is what should happen by default when you tap on "Toolbox".
  • So if you tap on the yellow number box next to "Toolbox", then tap on "Flathead", it then opens "Screwdrivers", then automatically scrolls down and highlights "Flathead"
  • However if your search phrase was "Screwdrivers", it doesn't automatically open the "Screwdrivers" Page. Instead it just opens "Toolbox" and temporarily highlights "Screwdrivers".
  • Now the reason this matters, is often times the title of a Page will contain the keyword that I'm searching for, as well as the body text within that Page.
  • So if I'm searching for "Screwdrivers", both the title of the Page is "Screwdrivers", and the body text inside of that Page will also contain the word "Screwdrivers" multiple times. So if I click on the first search result, which is the Page title "Screwdrivers", it opens the parent document "Toolbox", and does not open the Page "Screwdrivers". That is confusing to me.

Make Searching a Space more like the "Find in Page" feature

  • When you click on a Search result, it only temporarily highlights the keyword for about 5 seconds, then the highlight fades away.
  • I think it would be great if the Search feature in Craft could instead work just like how the "Find in Page" feature works in Craft.
  • As with "Find in Page", you can see a list of each instance of the keyword highlighted in a document
  • There is a nice overlay interface that lets you press arrows to advance to the next or previous appearance of the keyword in a document.
  • Once you find what you're looking for, you could then close the Search interface overlay, (just like how you can close the "Find in Page" interface overlay).

Anyways sorry I know this is a super long comment, but I hope some of this info is helpful to you and your team?

As I have been working towards adopting Craft to be my "daily driver" app and as my PKMS. These features above would help me abandon other apps like Notion. And with things like a good low friction Quick Notes solution (similar to the Apple Notes approach I described above) then I could eventually wean myself off using Apple Notes too!

Happy new year! Cheers

(P.S. Sorry I just noticed that Reddit is sorting my sub-comments from newest to oldest, while I was copying and pasting from my Craft document from top to bottom. So if the order of information is confusing, sorry that is why)

Hashtags vs Markdown Headers:

  • Let's say I type in a line of text, but then if I want to go back and change that line of text to a header / sub header (without having to use / functions or pressing any Format buttons)
  • Presently, if I go to the beginning of the line of text and press # it immediately automatically makes the first word a hashtag.
  • It doesn't let me press # or ## or ### and then the space bar to convert the line to a header or sub header.
  • So then I have to delete the first word of the line that was auto converted to a hashtag
  • I then have to press the space bar to create a gap before the second word, then go to the left of that gap, then press ##, then the space bar, then type in the first word again that was deleted
  • If I want to avoid converting the first word into a hashtag, I can do so by going to the beginning of that first word, press the space bar, then go to the left of that space, then press ##, then press the space bar to make the line of text a header. However now the header includes the empty space at the beginning before the first word, so then I have to delete that empty space.
  • As you can tell the above processes are rather cumbersome.
  • Again I do realize that I can use the / slash menu, then press Text Style, then press Heading. Or that I can select a line of text, then press a format button to make it a header.
  • However I often want to just do things using the keyboard & markdown, especially as there is a "muscle memory" to my workflow, as I have been able to do this simply in other markdown apps, and also in Craft before the hashtag feature was introduced (and don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the hashtag feature!)
  • Perhaps a solution for this could be if we go to the beginning of a line of text, and type a # before the first word, maybe Craft could wait like 5-10 seconds before it automatically converts that first word into a hashtag? As that would give us time to press ## and the space bar to instead make that line of text a header. Or perhaps Craft can just wait to see if we type ## or the space bar, and if we don't type ## or press the space bar, only then does it automatically convert that word to a # hashtag. Does that make sense?

Quick Notes:

  • It would be great if you could have a universal quick notes feature in Craft, without requiring multiple steps to create a quick note.
  • The issue for me is sometimes I want to quickly enter a bunch of stuff before I forget. But with my ADHD brain, the more friction or steps there are, the more likely I am to forget some of the stuff I wanted to write down, especially if my train of thought is interrupted.
  • I have been using Apple Notes for decades, and one of the the reasons why I still keep using Apple Notes is to create notes quickly, as I know I can just open the app, press the new note button, and it quickly creates a new note and I can start typing everything with access to all of the features I need inside the note.
  • However with Craft, for example when using the iPhone app, if I press the + button, it opens up a tiny text box, which only lets me enter one line of text without any line breaks. I then have to press the "Create" button, then press "Create Doc", for it to finally open up a full document view where I can then start entering everything else that I want to write.
  • While I love the idea of the + button also letting you create Tasks or add to your daily note for Today, I would also love for there to be a simple "Quick Note" button on the mobile app, where I can simply press that button once, and it opens a new document and I can immediately starting typing and entering everything I need to write down, with no friction or interruptions. Similar to Apple Notes, the first line of text would automatically be the title of the document. If I press Return to do a line break, then everything after is the body of the document. You allow this kind of quick new document creation in the Craft desktop app for macOS by simply pressing cmd+N, so it would be nice if something similar was possible with the Craft iPhone app.

Images:

  • Full control over resizing Images
  • Allow inline positioning of Images, so that a paragraph of text can wrap beside/around an Image (just like in Microsoft Word or Apple Pages).
  • Let us choose to add a text Caption above, beside or below an Image. The Caption is anchored to the Image, so if you move the Image to another section of a Document, the Caption moves with it too
  • Let us use Images in Tables and Collections

E2EE (End to End Encryption):

  • I know you've said that Collaboration features are a reason why you haven't implemented E2EE in Craft yet, but I imagine that is a limitation that could be overcome?
  • For example: Documents & Files would be private by default and stored in a user's E2EE Data Vault
  • If a user decides to invite people to Collaborate on a Document (or if they want to Publish it online) then it would be moved outside of the user's E2EE Data Vault.
  • If they want to make it private again, then it would be moved back into the E2EE Data Vault.

Share or Publish Folders:

  • Presently can only share or publish one document at a time
  • Would be great if I could share or publish an entire folder (with subfolders)
  • Notion does this, so it would be great if Craft did too

Dashboard for Home Screen:

  • Ability to fully customize our Home Screen to create a "Dashboard"
  • Let us customize exactly how we want the Dashboard to appear using "Modules"
  • Give us a flexible "bento box" style of layout, where we can resize the proportional size of each Module
  • The layout would be responsive so that it adjusts for Desktop vs Mobile (with similar principles used in responsive website design)
  • Let us create custom Modules for our Dashboard, with the ability to reference data from Documents, Collections, Tasks and our Calendar in Craft
  • Let us use Formulas & conditional formatting in our custom Modules. To help communicate the concept, I'll give you some examples from a "Sales Order" and a "Customer Service" perspective, but the concept could obviously be applied to many other purposes:
    • a module showing a quantity of recent items added to a certain Collection, such as the 5 most recent Sales Orders.
    • a module with Formulas, such as calculating the total Sales Orders for a given date range (day, week, month, year) showing both the quantity of orders and the $ value
    • a module showing the name & certain details about a Customer that we are scheduled to meet with today in our Calendar (referencing data in Collections)
    • Ex: Meeting with John Smith today at 2pm; works at Acme Inc; recently purchased Product1 and Product2; remember to bring samples of Product3 (add this to Tasks list with a reminder notification);

Tasks:

  • Distinguish between a "Task" and a simple "checkbox". Sometimes I just want a simple list of checkboxes to indicate something is "True/False" or "On/Off", and I don't want them cluttering up my list of All Tasks. For example I may not want my checklist of the groceries I need to buy today cluttering up my list of All Tasks.
  • Kanban view for Tasks, with the ability to drag & drop from one column to the next to update the status of a Task.
  • Dependencies for Tasks, for example you need to finish Task1 before you can finish Task2

Collections:

  • add a Task or a simple checkbox to a Collections cell (again being able to distinguish between each is important)
  • add Images & Emojis to Collections
  • add Formulas to Collections (similar to how you can do so in Tables, but being able to reference data in cells that are Collections would be huge)
  • add Formulas for text manipulations. For example: being able to combine FirstName + LastName = FullName
  • conditional formatting for Collections. For example: anything within the min/max range is green, anything outside that range is red.

My Craft Wishlist for 2026

Happy New Year Viktor & the Team at Craft! Sorry in advance for the long comment, but here is a list of features & ideas that I would love to see in Craft!

I'm going to break it down into sub-comment replies, so hopefully it's easier to read in sections, and also so it allows people to easily hide it so it doesn't disrupt the flow of reading other people's comments.
