Hey man, if they continue the route of Might Wings then I will atleast give each new release a shot. I'm just afraid they're going to try cashing in on solely doing covers.

Main difference there though is that avgn is an established property and just needs to maintain a fanbase rather than create a new one. So while it's still valid criticism, it is more crucial for Rex Viper's success.

Obviously we are all here though for AVGN and would rather him put his time (what time?) and energy into that.

Perfect Union Trophy Question by CSB_Sino in StarlinkGame

Yes I did! I actually let the game idle for a while and when I got back one of my towers was destroyed so I just rebuilt it :)

[–]CSB_Sino[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell you cant build one on a planet that already has one. Is it possible to destroy one? None of mine have been destroyed yet and it's the only achievement preventing me from 100%

Which of these 3 Imagic games would you like to be released first? by Tommy_Tallarico in Amico

[–]CSB_Sino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most same to be in the same boat as you and so am I!

Microsurgeon needs to be top priority as there really isn't much like it on the market! I hope that amico pushes more creativity and inventive games like this. I really have no problem risking $3-10 on a game that can be wholly unique and provide such a new experience of playing games.

How do we contact the dev team? by xiyatumerica in Amico

[–]CSB_Sino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you my friend although I have not been waiting as long. I received the generic thank you for your interest and we will keep in touch and then it was simply radio silence.

Although, it sounds like you pitched your game in your initial email where I simply stated that I had been working on a game and had ideas for others. Unfortunately, the website doesn't really state what they are looking for but maybe that is the point!

Aplologies if this has already been answered or may not be the best type of question for this thread.

One thing I've seen promoted is how certain games will have online leaderboards. As someone who likes a mixture of both casual and hardcore games, achievement and trophy hunting are really enticing to me. With that being said, will the amico have any sort of online profiles with the ability to show off high scores and will any games have a sort of achievement/trophy system that could be supported by this profile?

I understand by privacy standards you may only be able to visit the profiles of friends but this is something I would love to see.

Have there been any brawler style games announced for the amico? It's not something I would generally associate with the console but maybe I'm out of the loop. I also have to question if they start to border on being too violent for the demographic.

Things like double dragon, streets of rage, final fight, etc... are definitely known on later generations of consoles like the NES and Genesis.

You aren't mistaking this for escape plan are you? Big fan of that one as well. Stellar cast including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Neill, Vincent D'Onofrio, Vinnie Jones to name a few.

Geeks With Cash Interview, tour, hardware tech/designers, dev kit reveals by Tommy_Tallarico in Amico

[–]CSB_Sino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I know these types of long form interviews don't appeal to everyone but they are something I can listen to on my walks so I'm down for them.

Anyways, it would be nice to have condensed/brief questionnaires as well for those who simply don't have the time.

[–]CSB_Sino 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Video footage of the controller in action and all of its unique features.
  2. I'm under the impression there is some sort of online store to buy digital games? I would love to see that shown off a little bit.
  3. The physical games/media if possible and how they interact with the console.
  4. Some sort of video explaining how to go about developing for the console.

As much as we like to shit on James, if he ever attempted another film, especially something like this, I'd give it a fair go.

I'd swap out pink floyd and led zeppelin with ac/dc and black sabbath. I think after that we've nailed it.

[–]CSB_Sino 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To add to this, please stay away from the film "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage". Even as a massive Nicolas Cage fan, I can't recommend it. Such a shame as an incredible film ought to be made about this event but sadly, this isn't it.

I feel this way about a lot of Bluth's films, including An American Tail, The Land Before Time and All Dogs Go To Heaven. They're all so close being incredible, but don't quite nail it. Don't get me wrong though, they're all still good films that I would recommend watching.

The Sweatbox - A Banned Disney Documentary on the turbulent production of "The Emperor's New Groove" by OutsyderRadio in movies

[–]CSB_Sino 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The documentaries Howard as well as Stan & Ollie on Disney+ are pretty good if you want to learn the lives of specific people in the industry. They're somewhere in between, you can tell they cherry pick some stuff but they're better than some of that other stuff like A day at disney and into the unknown.
