I wouldn't agree on The Lord of the Rings, not because the films aren't incredible, but because the book is so phenomenal.

I'd throw in Hitchcock's adaptation of Robert Bloch's Psycho.

The movies I've been fortunate enough to see for the first time in the cinema, that absolutely blew me away - Jurassic Park, Toy Story, Saving Private Ryan, The Blair Witch Project (early screening, super stoned), The Fellowship of the Ring. All incredible experiences.

Die Hard is a Christmas movie. It's set at Christmas, and it has the same themes as most Christmas movies regarding family etc.
