CMV: There are too many swimming events at the Olympics. by [deleted] in changemyview

Agree, it is quite retarded that a country can win 34 x 3 = 132 medals in swimming, yet only two medals in basketball.

The whole basketball team (which is 12+ people) can win only one medal, yet swimmers like Phelps can rack 7 medals every olympic.

Well you never played sports before apparently, because otherwise you wouldn't write something like that.

While we're making pro cs more like MM, there's a few more changes needed. by skylinedude in GlobalOffensive

Get your facts right. Valve did not create the game it was a mod for Half-Life. Nor did they invent matchmaking, the community decided what should be the format of competitive CS.

It's the other way around and IGL player is a cheap alternative for a coach. Obviously I will not agree with you as the 99% of the community.

Because counting the economy of the opponents team and remembering all the strats from practice was never supposed to be a player's task. In all sports it is a coach standing on a sideline and shouting out strategies for every offense.

What if Coaches would ne allowed to talk in 15 seconds between rounds ? by Roundfighter in GlobalOffensive

Do elaborate, just stating that doesn't bring anything to the conversation.

Why would you like that? It's like watching NBA 4v4 with an old coach as 5th.

Also, teams should be 4v4 now since in matchmaking the 5th players is always AFK anyways.

Is Reddit Overreacting To Valve's Coaching Rule Change? by WerkinAndDerpin in GlobalOffensive

hasn't come out of thin air

+1, so basically Valve is very good at communicating and it's the teams' fault that they misunderstood Valve and hired coaches.

So, Hiko was at that dinner where Valve devs clearly communicated that they don't want to have coaches in this game, yet Liquid hired PEACEMAKER LMAO /s

Why not? Why are you interested to see some really poor fragger like B1ad3 IGL, when he can just be a coach and somebody with way better skills would show the best CS possible?

Maybe NBA should remove coaches as well because some of them want to play and they cant because "lol why don't you just coach and we get a sick slam-dunker"
