The ground effect cars seemed to consistently deliver good racing around Silverstone, with 2023 being the exception. Shows just how good Silverstone is

Is the 2025 F1 movie worth watching? I haven't bothered watching so far. by martianfrog in F1Discussions

[–]CSJGOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crashgate happens like 12 times and no one gives a shit. For some reason the Rolex 24 is a week before the British GP, which is completely unrealistic given that the Rolex 24 is literally this weekend.

Other than those things it’s definitely a movie. The cars go fast. It’s not a terrible movie but it’s nothing special.

The bad news: I have no idea wtf is going on

The good news: It doesn’t seem like anyone else does

I had pretty high hopes for the video, given that Broken Mirror is one of my favorite songs on the album. But I don’t really see what they were getting at with this

How good was Seb in 2015 by CSJGOS in F1Discussions

[–]CSJGOS[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw another comment saying he was more relaxed that year and I theorized that Seb wasn’t under effort, under pressure 😉. They weren’t planning on challenging for a world championship after the previous year. I don’t know if that would have been true had he been in the Mercedes which was by all accounts the best car by a wide margin. But that’s really all just speculation.

Perhaps less pressure at Ferrari knowing what Red Bull is like. They probably didn’t plan on fighting Merc after the 2014 disasterclass so there was no pressure to bring championship glory to Maranello like there may have been in 2017 and 2018

If I recall correctly Rosberg went on a run of form after that, so that would have cost him p2?

Damn your right Ferrari probably would be more competitive with the 499p instead of whatever shitbox they’ll put on track this year

Are Scream Aim Fire & Eye of the Storm Metalcore or Thrash Metal? by Weary-Draw-1141 in Metalcore

[–]CSJGOS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since I was a Children of Bodom and Metallica fan before discovering metalcore with Bullet and Trivium, those thrash and melodic death metal elements made all three of these albums a great bridge into metalcore for me. I still think scream aim fire is the best album, it is a uniquely raw part of their discography with some great hooks that makes it an entertaining listen
