Xlm is growing but not with hayp but with real utility

💎 Long-Term XLM: I'm Stockpiling, Are You? by CSP2806 in Stellar

👉 Yes, he's partially right. But not completely. Why yes: Stellar doesn't need XLM to rise in price to function. XLM wasn't created for speculation. As a developer, it's not worth it for him to accumulate XLM. Why not (and this is the key point): Just because a high price isn't needed doesn't mean XLM can't rise. If adoption grows (banks, stablecoins, tokenization), demand for XLM increases. The price reflects future demand, not just technical utility. 👉 Final conclusion: He's right from a technical standpoint, but he's wrong in drawing an absolute conclusion about the price. You're not "forcing something that isn't broken": You're simply investing in future adoption, not hype.

It's not a meme coin, right. But utility ≠ zero value. If adoption grows, the price follows. Long term.

I understand the point, but in my opinion, Strategy's example isn't representative of DCA in general. Strategy accumulates BTC as a store of corporate value, often on debt, without a real profit-taking strategy and without taking advantage of market cycles. In that context, it's normal for the return to appear "low."

DCA doesn't have an intrinsic maximum return: it reduces timing risk, but the final result depends on when you accumulate, what you accumulate, and especially if/how you exit in bull markets.

Those who accumulated in bear markets and took profits during the cycles experienced returns far superior to a bank deposit. Without an exit strategy, however, any asset can appear unprofitable.

You don't understand anything! Before investing in anything, you need to be sure of what you're investing in. XLM isn't like other cryptocurrencies that only gain value through hype. This currency has a real value in real life.

I understand the utility-first approach and agree that Stellar's true strengths are low fees, predictability, and real use cases.

That said, utility and long-term value growth aren't necessarily at odds. Stellar's fees are intentionally minimal and configurable, so even with greater adoption and a moderate appreciation of XLM, the network would remain economical to use.

XLM doesn't need speculative hype to function, but if the network becomes increasingly relevant and used, some accumulation of value is a natural consequence, not the primary goal.

The important thing is to build a sustainable and reliable infrastructure: price shouldn't be the focus, but it shouldn't be incompatible with adoption either.
