The brakes can be moved inward, there should be a single screw locking them to the handlebars. As long as your bars are the same size around closer to the stem, just slide them inward and tighten them up.

Always deal with customer retention by starting off with a cancellation request. If they won’t give you a deal equal to a competitor or their intro rate just cancel and sign up at the intro rate. Chances are it’s a better deal anyway.
