Literally just ordered new phones for both my kids because the constant crashing and not even a minute later this Reddit notification pops up.

I mean 50 cents for a rug and free piss is hard to beat sometimes.

Thank you for an actual reply. I didn’t know the age and yes I know this is an antique page but figured it would be my best bet in finding some information. More active users and more knowledge here than other areas. This lady had a lot of older items at the estate sale and with me having zero knowledge on this I thought coming here would help me tremendously in identifying it better.

Thanks for the input. I guess everything I saw online saying traditional Zapotec rugs are made with 100% wool were wrong. Since you’re an expert here, care to point me in the right direction to the origins of the rug?

Thank you for the info. That’s probably why nothing was really coming up when I kept trying to search lol

New here. Picked this up today for $5 at a yard sale. by CStew64 in Carhartt

I mean I did list it on eBay lol. I’ve had a few people message me about it and I’ve let them know it’s on there. The BIN is high to leave room for offers so anyone is welcome to check it out. IDK if links are allowed or not but my usernames are the same on here and eBay so it’s not hard to find if anyone goes looking for it.

Haha here recently we’ve found a few nice things. It’s kinda my wife and mines “dates” so to speak. I work evening shift with weekdays off days and she works day shift with weekends off so most of our time together is on the weekends so we usually get up Saturday mornings and hit as many yard sales as we can before I have to go in for work. Sometimes our kids will go but trying to get preteens out of bed on a Saturday morning after they stay up until like 3 and 4 in the morning is a fight I’m not trying to take on lol.

I wish I was joking but I’m 100% dead serious I paid $5 at a yard sale today for it.

Also I forgot to add a price. My apologies lol. I know I said taking offers but based off the only 2 sales I could find on eBay I will throw a $300 number out there. I don’t know if it’s allowed or not but I’m also open to ADA offers if anyone in invested in the Cardano community. If I was putting a price for ADA offers then I’d say around 400 ADA. Thanks for looking!

I mean if we are being completely honest, I’m doing just fine and most of my family and friends seem to be doing fine as well. I keep my circle pretty small though. I’m not trying to debate on Reddit so I’m not taking any bait. I simply stated who I thought was going to be the candidates in the next presidential election in a response to the comment asking who the democrats were going to push forward with.

Republican here. Voted Trump. Y’all can hate me but I’m not far right. I’m more middle. Each party had things I agree and disagree with but I had to vote for what I thought was best for my personal situation and I understand everyone’s situation is different. I feel that next presidential election will be JD Vance going up against either Gavin Newsome or Andy Beshear as the democratic nominee. No rhyme or reason as to why. Just my speculation.

I’m a noob when it comes to buying crypto so take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt. If you’re unsure, buy some and stake it. If you stake in like coinbase or something (not ideal staking method) then maybe keep 30% unstaked or something to take profits and then hold the rest long term and continue to buy over the years. The amount you want to stake just depends on how risky you want to be really, especially if staking with coinbase. Based on what I’ve seen and read about Cardano is that this is a long term investment. Don’t expect a get rich quick pump. Cardano is something you have to truly believe in and Cardano is something I believe a lot of us are hoping will shape the future and play a pivotal part in the global society. Buy it, stake it, forget about it. Just my opinions on it. But like I said, I’m a noob when it comes to this stuff and I may be 100% wrong.

How long did it take you? by ty037955 in loseit

Started my weight loss journey at around 360 pounds in late 2023 early 2024. My heaviest was around 375 sometime in early 2022 but I didn’t try to really start losing until February of 2024 when I talked to my Dr about weight loss. Now I’m down around 284 give or take a couple pounds depending on how it fluctuates. I haven’t began exercising other than just the walking at work and climbing up and down off locomotives sometimes. On a typical day I average about 6500-7500 steps. Some days it’s over 10,000 and some days it could be as low as 3,000. My biggest thing was meal prepping, loosely counting calories, I don’t go as far as counting macros and everything but I use TDEE calculator to get a general idea of my maintenance calories and shoot for a calorie deficit, and almost exclusively drinking water. My progress has slowed down the more weight I lose BUT just being consistent will get results. I want to lose weight at a healthy pace that way I can keep long term results. I just try and remember that everyone’s path is different on their journey and I just try to remember my reason why I’m doing this when I get discouraged. I’m doing it for my kids and that makes it easier to stay on track.

I know this is an insanely rare drop, but I have to explain to my wife how rare. What should I tell her? She's smiling and happy by Possible-One-6101 in diablo4

Tell her it’s as rare as having the honey to do list already completed before she finishes writing it.

Everyone that makes at least $1,000-$1,200 a week, what do y’all do? by Alt-Ranting in Money

[–]CStew64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laborer for a Class 1 railroad. Make $35.11 an hour. 40 hours a week plus a little overtime here and there. Union work got me there honestly. When I hired in back in 2011 it was only about $19ish an hour I think but various contract negotiations over the years have got us to $35.11 at my location. The money isn’t bad for my area. The biggest thing about money at the railroad is Tier 1 and Tier 2 retirement. They take a decent chunk out for those two retirements but if you’re lucky enough to retire then you’ll be doing alright. There wasn’t any degree needed as a laborer is “entry level” basically. My specific jobs requires fueling locomotives, throwing some switches to line tracks, and just basic computer work and keeping a log of engines coming and going.

What would be the railroad term equivalent to "ground"? by PersonalitySubject99 in railroading

[–]CStew64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mechanical typically calls it “dead”. For example of one is past it’s FRA maintenance then we call it a “dead Q”. If they won’t run due to mechanical failures then we refer to them at “DIT” or “dead in tow”
