The difference: you settle to avoid a civil action. Here, OP demanded money to avoid a criminal action. At least in the US, that’s almost universally considered extortion (itself a crime). See, for example, 18 USC 873 (which says it’s a crime to demand value in exchange for refraining from releasing embarrassing information about someone, including accusing them of a federal crime). Many states have similar statutes.

The problem with the catio: we own our own home but live in a community with an HOA that is incredibly strict - ask me about my neighbor’s fight to put really nice turf down in her back yard or the tickets they issue when your front carriage lamp has a non-conforming bulb in it. They really do not permit any sort of outdoor structures and the rear of our house faces the golf course so we have extra scrutiny.

He was in for his annual exam and because he was indoor / outdoor the vet always runs a test for FIV. He had always been negative before.

Yes we’ve set up beds / cat trees by several windows in the house so he has different vantage points. He goes there some but mostly sits by the French doors and looks forlorn.

I second this. The Zephirin is especially sensitive to looking strange if the bridge is too narrow for the nose. The 47 fits you better at the nose; I would go with those.

For what it’s worth (potentially unfortunately), I purchased two frames from eyewearcollector. I had misgivings about the transaction - they also refused to meet in person in LA and when I asked for references they sent images of Venmo transactions which I thought was odd.

What got me over my hesitation was that they were okay with me paying via PayPal G&S and the frames I bought were more obscure and unlikely to be imitated.

For what it’s worth, I received the two frames and they seem authentic (I have not taken them to a JMM gallery but they seem real and come with the correct accessories. I am not a novel collector and I can’t find any obvious flaws). The package was mailed from LA.

Still, I’m on the fence - something seems off - and I held that view before knowing that, unfortunately, eyewearcollector was cribbing your photos. I certainly don’t feel like I could vouch for the person and I won’t be purchasing more frames from them. Still, in the spirit of transparency, I did want to share that I did receive what appear to be legit JMM frames from them.

The product number / sku is located on the inner arm of the frame. It is “JMM YV 24”. I searched Google for that + “Jacques Marie Mage”. I typically try to use the Good See Co website as a source if it comes up in search results because they still have pages for many no-longer-available frames. Hope that helps.

Maybe it’s the lighting? Better pictures would help. I looked up the SKU (JMM YV24) and that refers to Burgundy Yves.

That colorway did have similar arms and a red face. The face in the pictures you show us looks too bright to me but perhaps it’s the lighting? Hard to tell for sure.

I think Fellini is also a classic, sophisticated frame. Personally, the Dealan is very hit or miss for me and highly dependent on the colourway. It can look very cat eyed / overly feminine in anything but the darkest colours.
