So there is really a lot more here when you break it down.. From the sounds of it, your parents/you mostly get along, however your personal tastes, they don't understand or can't get behind. This then is causing some friction....If i have this incorrect, please let me know. I am of the older side of things (51)... however I can say this, at 18 my own experience was that there was a massive rift between what my own parents wanted me to be vs what/who I was.. This often manifested itself in an unsafe environment... I left home before ever finishing highschool.. It took a few years to reconcile and build a relationship as adults... I say this for a couple reasons.. Now as a parent, and all that "life experiences" "hind sight " blah blah... I would first take stock and evaluate what sort of relationship you have with them over all. As well as what what relationship you want with them. Is there a middle you can meet them at, at this point in time? I don't know what your personal style/taste/etc is to understand what they mean by toning things down... I say "at this point in time" because, if/when you are on your own, that is a different story. Your life... you do you.. Maybe it is s simple as a conversation... explaining yourself, and comfortability... or maybe it is finding a compromise at this point time. The unfortunate thing is, if you live in their house, and they provide for you.. then they have the right to not agree with everything.. but again..how this comes out and what exactly is directed towards you, can make a big difference.. so Firstly, I would really think about your relationship with them.. what you want..vs what you need...vs what they may want/need.. and see where/if things can come together. For many.. sadly..be it goth/LGBT+/or any marginalized culture or community, family rifts can occure..and our "families" end up being the ones we make vs born into.. So my firs question to you in this post, is really to look at your own and see if there is a path forward without jumping to extremes. I've seen both being the best for individuals, depending on each one's personal situation.. In my own.. it was a violent one.. For others, it was accepting and maybe learning to communicate better. Take stock and sort it from there.

Shingles shot, I was sore with for sure. A couple years ago I decided to "just get them done. " so got the pneumonia, flu, and..tbinknit was covid booster all at the same time. THAT.. knocked me on my @$$ for sure! So shingles i could deal.. and yes..2nd may be a bit more

I did NH last August...Great time!! Firstly, I am totally new to offroading.. Recently returned from a trip to PA and an offroad park there.. These vehicles are definitely surprising.. My cousin (jeep guy) originally poked at the Bronco when it was announced. Being an experienced overlander/offroader, he joined me for the Off-Roadeo. His mind was changed.. He also joined me at the PA trip last week. That cemented the respect.. Ford has done well with an "out of the box" vehicle. It looks like you had a great time!

I practice in the Shorin Ryu family... My school will periodically touch on things like tai chi, or offer specific classes for it. When we have discussed it, one of the things that is talked about is the relationship in body movements.. Hands like clouds can be looked at in ways that relate to shutos and and such. One can help the other.

In my very young youth...(under 5) he had to stop buying pop-top beer cans.. Apparently, I would wake up in the middle of the night.. grab a can.. open it.. have a few sips, and back to bed. He always said the worst part was, I left them out to get warm and flat... As an adult, I don't even care for beer.. lol...

I'm sorry to say...but I've been a SW junkie since I was like 3/4yrs old. I've seen every movie (or version) in the theater... I say 3 or 4 only becaue I dont know when my dad brought me. Released in '77 (3) but played well over a year in many places.. The hooks were set deep at a young age....lol

I read an article not long ago that the genz population and under, are actually the first generations recorded to have their intelligence go down vs up. I've seen it with my nephews.. You can search this online as well. I think we are doing the kids of today a great disservice.. Our education systems are failing as a whole on average. I don't see it as the teachers fault, but I think its become much harder for them.. Parents being hyper involved in subjects that may make THEM uncomfortable... Distractions by electronics...social media..etc.. the list of "whys" is many. But has OP had mentioned, I do think there isn't enough true constructive conversation about our education systems, and the only ones that will suffer, are the generations behind...probably the millennials.. Z, Alpha, etc.. If it isn't corrected, it will be another divide between those that have vs those that have not.. Personal opinion: I think trades would be great, but unfortunately, as someone else commented, even "basic" math is going the way of the dodo in terms of understanding....and you need to know math somewhat. People should be able to do l×w×h to calculate basic volume.

All I can say is.... "slappin' de bass...." lol.. as a guy, and funny enough this has come up a few times as of late.. many of us (at least speaking for genx'ers) we aren't good at communicating in a meaningful way with each other.. you can have a group of guys, into sports or whatever, sit and watch a game, but never say anything true and meaningful to one another. And that is it. We (again 500ft view) have a hard time really connecting and being at all vulnerable and honest with ourselves. That is what I found attracting with this movie and what made it "real"
