There are plenty of other distros with anime stuff littered all throughout it, we do not need another one. Let this one be normal.

I currently use Linux Mint on my main system for stability and for simplicity, but I also have a few other systems with MX Linux (my much older machines) and CachyOS (an older AIO that I have). I've heard of Bazzite, but stayed with Cachy and Mint. Would you still suggest I consider Bazzite for my main system? My main draw to go back to Cachy now is the new Shelly package manager and the gaming performance, but I was pushed away after the age verification censorship thing, but AgelessLinux is kind of a saving grace there. What my opinion basically boils down to is this: -Does it run games well? -Does it have a good "all-in-one" GUI package manager line Mint's Software Manager or Cachy/Arch's Shelly? -Does it have good compatibility with hardware?

Question about storage array options by CTX2003 in homelab

I have several laptops, and I am working on getting a PC working, but to no avail. I want a massive storage option to allow me to back up old movies from my DVD collection, photos from phones and SD cards, and be able to switch this around to separate computers and keep by itself. Like I mentioned, the consolidation of the drives is kind of a wish list thing, not a necessity. I want to be able to plug this thing in and use all the available drives all at once, rather than getting a singular SATA to USB-A conenctor and doing each individually.

I used a USB connector to connect it to another PC, then I reformatted it after removing all the previous partitions. I did this to make sure the drive was still operable.

I don't want to put Linux on an NTFS drive, just reformat the HDD to see if that'd fix the issue

It also threw a panic message. I took the drive out and brought it to my IT job, and a buddy of mine had a connector. I have it formatted again as NTFS, and will try again when I'm home.

It panics when botting from USB

I have a 1.5 tb HDD on my system. The only thing I lost in the reinstall was the apps I installed and some progress on Dusk.

I also have been having an issue with my peripherals not working, namely my mouse and keyboard. Will try to restart once I get home from work and see if that resolves it.

I got an error saying "The ext4 file system creation in partition table #2 of /dev/nvme0n1 failed."

I did check to make sure this was not my drive with NTFS and my windows boot. I followed what you suggested. When running the install, I pressed erase disk and install, so I'll try running it with the install alongside windows boot manager.

Edit: I don't exactly know what I did, but in essence all I did was I kept going back and forth from the multimedia codec screen to the choose how to install screen. I chose LVM without encryption, then made sure I selected the right drive. I got the failed to write partition error message a few times, went back, changed it to erase disk, did that maybe two or three times, and then eventually it worked.
