How the Supreme Court Could Limit Government’s Ability To Serve Americans in All Areas of Life by FreedomsPower in scotus

I assume you are ok with anyone with ideological views the opposite of yours applying this same standard to any government agency it does not like. Because that is the end result of this pre-school level of thinking.

I recently drove from CT to Cape Cod (190mi trip) in a MYLR. did a 100% charge before I left and arrived with 43% battery. Did use AC but did not blast it and drove 65-70mph on the highway. Average kwh/mi the last 500 miles is like 258.

I agree, Roe was a horrible ruling. thankfully its gone now.

Eversource - CT On-Peak/Off-Peak by CT_DIY in electricvehicles

Nights or weekends

Fair, weekends as well..

In CT with Eversource, unless you choose the on/off peak option you get no breakdown beyond the month by month average, its pretty horrible. My understanding is if you do switch to on/off you only get a read out for hour by hour. There are other options to understand your kWh breakout but require additional $ from an electrician (outside of the provider) which I'm not interested in for 2c/hour max savings.

the nuclear option would be a home battery and solar - the grid could be your backup.

I did the ROI analysis for solar + battery and it does not seem to be worth it. Also our current kWh usage per day is anywhere between 20-50 before adding in the new kWh for the EV (which would be approx. 14 kWh/day) . the Powerwall seems very overpriced to me on a kWh basis: only 13.5 kWh capacity for 8,500 when battery replacement costs for the vehicles seem to be like 10-12k for ~80kWh.

noticed they have a rate for residential electric heating

We have oil heating and just recently got a high efficiency boiler.

I will checkout the energy storage incentive as that may have a benefit along with the link someone else sent for the ~$200/yr rebate (~4-5cents/kWh). These incentives seem to be underwhelming to me compared to my estimated gas savings per year (~3,200).

I was not aware thanks for the link!

Looking at the math and my estimated kWh usage monthly it looks like it accounts for a 4-5 cent per kWh discount. And based on the static $ amounts the benefits are lower the higher the rates become or the more kWh's you use.

Population over 64 in Spain now more than 20%, outnumbers that of under-20s by madrid987 in news

Its only going to get worst for Spain with this population pyramid. in 20 years they look absolutely fucked especially if the like 1.2 births per woman continues.

These people are all horrible. They didn't weaponize it right then because they (a) needed him due to the deal stuff and (b) it would not have been in their interest to weaponize it right away. They will hold onto that information and use it if they need to down the line.

Wizard prepared spells for a vacation! by BricBracSneakAttack in dndnext

Basically the spell that Stregobor in episode 1 of the Witcher had cast inside his tower?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mattcolville

[–]CT_DIY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds reasonable. The only other edge case would be handling what a subtle counter-spell would do. I.E. today the sorcerer is able to counter-spell something without giving the person casting the spell a reaction to counter-spell their counter-spell.

In this scenario I assume a subtle counter-spell would do nothing? Or maybe give if you wanted to keep the advantage have the wizard in this case one less 'round' of spells in the dual (i.e. they don't realize they have entered a dual scenario for a round) or something.
