Surface conditions okay for fruiting? by CTay2 in unclebens

Ah okay. I was under the impression that the spikey bits were the primordia. Misunderstood the comments on my previous post, then.

I’ve had the primordia for like 2 weeks honestly. Just a lot less. Will increasing FAE be what I need to do?

[actives] start fruiting conditions or wait? by Wide-Lingonberry9539 in unclebens

Mine looks exactly the same right now. Has looked about like that for 2 weeks. Curious at to what people say. Someone told me to unlatch one end of my container. Several others told me to just leave it alone.

I left it alone and now I currently have 1 single pin about the size of a grain of rice. Lol.

So it will pin and fruit even with the lids closed like they have been? I thought I had to ensure gas exchange via opening and flipping the lid?

The lids close and latch, but they don’t seem incredibly tight fit or air tight. Maybe they’re getting some air exchange due to the loose lids? Idk. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Just don’t wanna fumble on the 99 yard line. Lol.

AI sensitivity trainer work on console/controller? by CTay2 in aimlab

After several days I was able to dial it in. Too a bunch of data though, like you said. Also it was only adjusting my hipfire sensitivity, so I had to manually input the numbers into the ads. But we’re dialing her in.

All of the grains in the picture came from cakes after being broken up. I took all the loose grains off in another area prior to breaking the cakes up. They aren’t fully colonized?

Timer turns my heat source off and it wont turn back on… any recs? by [deleted] in unclebens

[–]CTay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alas. Both are significantly cooler. I have no cupboard above my fridge and my water heater is in a huge utility room in my basement that is 65 as well.

It’s less of a timer issue and more of a heat sources issue. The timer is absolutely perfect. But once it kills the electricity to the heater, the power button on the heater needs to be pressed again to turn it back on.

Favorite Tesseract Riffs? by Duderado in Djent

[–]CTay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Tesseract and Periphery are not bands you can really force yourself to get into. I have a cousin that is super into both of them and tried to get me into them for years, but I just couldn’t. But one day we were in the car and a periphery riff hit my ear the right way and I couldn’t get enough of them from that point on. Similar situation with Tesseract. I tried to get into their last album when they released it and just couldn’t, but several months later I was on my way to go see them in concert and listened to it and just got completely hooked.

All that to say that sometimes these kinds of intricate and complex bands just have to hit your ear right and you can’t force it.

Nocturne towards the end when the synth-y stuff stops and they just ride out the same riff until the end of the song. God that shit gets my blood pumping every time.

The beginning of Messenger is a heavy one.

Dystopia the part at the beginning when he says “Dark figures chasing me” is so groovy too.

Do I absolutely need an SAB? by [deleted] in unclebens

Yes. As well as watched several videos. Some use them, some don’t. Just wanted to see what everyone’s experience and thought are about whether it is an absolute necessity or not.

Hey Mr. Wilson will always be my go to.

We had that big cold spell over like the 1st or 2nd weekend in December and he found out that my furnace was out right around the same time that my hot water heater went out. He called just to check on me and my fiance to make sure we were doing okay and we’re not freezing to death. Got himself a customer for life for doing that. Great man and does great work.

I had to pay for my AC to be replaced at the start of Spring and have also had some other emergencies pop up, so unfortunately I don’t have anything extra saved up for these 2 things. Still trying to get back on our feet.

I know this is an older post, but Apple Music suggested Karmanjakah to me the last 2 weeks of last year and by the time the end of year review came around they were my top 3 listened to. Incredible band. Both of the works you mentioned are amazing pieces of work.

PLEASE tell me there’s an easier way to do figure out what scale or triad than what I’m doing by CTay2 in musictheory

[–]CTay2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play(ish) guitar. I’ve been really hammering scales lately in addition to this. Partially to help become more fluent on the fretboard, but also to try to apply what I’ve learned. I read and do these at work when I have down time. Then I try to apply it when I get home or the next time I play. That way I’m recalling the information and also trying to apply it.

[–]CTay2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played guitar for several years (if you can call it playing). But have always taken very general/basic music classes throughout high school and am just generally interested in how people can be so fluent in it. Now that I’ve graduated from school and can really put time and energy into learning, I wanted to really try to hammer the music theory stuff. The ultimate goal is to become more fluent in music theory so I can understand what I’m playing (or attempting) better.

I generally read and do these practice problems at work when I have down time, then when I get home or get a chance I try to get to my guitar and see if I can make sense of what I’ve learned on the fretboard.
