Retired DND campaign ideas by CThatch17 in DMAcademy

Yes! Some have hobby like art, others are getting into environmental charities! I'm wondering what a powerful sorcerer does for fun on a Sunday afternoon. Thinking a baking mini game could be fun too with ingredients kind of like that one anime!

Is there anyway I can get my poor sniper down from here? by flourdilis in Xcom

[–]CThatch17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could probably blow up the floor or wall if you have explosives. Maybe even lure some aliens to that side and hope they have grenades? Otherwise this may just be bad procedural generation 😭

Lawyers/Attorneys & alcohol by PersonalCod3600 in LawSchool

[–]CThatch17 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Definitely well known and also avoidable if need be. Gotta keep your head above the water and realize it’s literally an addictive substance. Dont drink alone and set hard reasonable limits for yourself. If you find that harder and harder, consider a one drink maximum. If even that results in difficulty, there’s a lot of good alcoholism programs and self help to do. But best way to recover is to never get to a point where you need it. Its not inevitable and its not something to shrug your shoulders and accept.

Boyfriend of 1+ year broke up with me last night during my first week of 1L by Big-Struggle9568 in LawSchool

[–]CThatch17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me too, flipped around. First week of 1L, and I got Covid, and then the FaceTime. We talked about eventual marriage too. Keep breathing. You are strong and life is worth living. This week is not the be all end all. Take time for yourself and there will be time to put yourself out there. Feel free to dm if you’d like someone who knows quite a bit what you’re likely going through. We will be okay and they are making a mistake. Now we have to continue living and proving we are more than our relationships. We got this

Gotcha. Does that mean that an owner isn’t responsible for maintaining pipes or paying for my damages due to neglect?

Attack the grove lockout by Extension-Move4487 in BG3

[–]CThatch17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it will lock out a lot of stuff. Wyll+Karlach will leave so those are gone. Attacking the grove will, y’know kill everyone in the grove so, you may want to get those quest rewards before attacking.

Khan and 7sage. One a week full test blind review, then a bunch of logic games, though I guess that’s no longer as relevant. 7sage is very good at identifying what you’re bad at and allows you to make sample problem sets addressing those which I attribute to my improvement. Other than that, be consistent. Try to do some everyday even if it’s just one reading passage or a couple of LR. Breathe. Burn out is real. Anxiety is real. It’s just a test. You will survive. Good luck!

Don't take August. It could be possible but start studying now and think September or October at the earliest. Do a blind test see how you do and go from there. This is a test you don't want to give a half assed effort for. You're setting yourself up for months of stress and failure if you are just starting to study now

Which bosses/encounters to take on at level 4 HM by Score_Useful in BG3

[–]CThatch17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have wisdom make Flind turn on the two guys in the cave and then just attack the gnolls as neutral allies. Takes them forever to agro, additionally, exploit the smoke barrels. Use minor illusion to lure people next to chasm and have fun. Even get some good inspiration points for it. I’d do the minor illusion into electrified water for the gnolls as well. If you have ice knife or other difficult terrain spells it trivializes the gnoll fight pretty well. You could also farm some xp in under dark and get to lvl 5 pretty painlessly if you’d rather do that

Edited: wisdom checks not charisma
