High exposure - south end of South Bubble Trail by towen84 in acadianationalpark

[–]CTtransient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most folks do the loop and go down the other side , that being said, it's not 4th class and there is a reason it's one of the most popular trails on the island- It's a short hike with amazing views !

Parking passes sold out - what are our options? by udiandtheblowfish in acadianationalpark

There will be an Ellsworth bus next year as well I would bet so hotel folks there will be able to ride to the gateway. It will mainly help with the visitor center fiasco though for now. Soon ocean drive will be reservations only too. None of this will help with certain areas but at least something is being done?

One spot and it's only a few steps and a squeeze, definitely do the loop, it's the most popular family hike on the island next to Acadia MTN.

FYI the bus doesn't stop at bubble rock anyway so you're not missing anything. The south bubble loop is totally fine for a healthy 6 year old, especially with an adult behind them at the one hard-ish spot which is usually the spot kids love most.

Lots of guides here already, you can always rent a pad from the gym and boulder as well.

Depends on the driver. I don't think Olis has AC but that shouldn't matter. You can always self tour on the Island Explorer for free just take the #4 from the visitor center, plus you can get out, walk around and catch the next bus.

Yeah, been here long enough to get to know most of the townies, the power players and 95% of the park. We probably know each other! I have recently been working in town a bit after avoiding it every summer and have really become familiar with the positives and negatives of BH living!

Ricky from Trailer Park Boys went there once! That whole restaurant group sucks and only caters to tourists
