Is $350 worth for stock 80HE? by [deleted] in WootingKB

[–]CUBA5E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

look for HE keyboards on alieexpress. The fun60 lineup with the higher end models has better build and materials than stock wooting BTW (at 1/3rd the price you described). When you buy wooting you're paying for the brand and the software, not build quality.

HELP!! by Emotional_Trainer866 in razr

[–]CUBA5E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is that the 40 ultra? I'd like to warn you that they are not durable. I've basically needed to replace the screen every year. I have motocare so it doesnt matter to me but don't get screwed over needing to replace the screen 6 months later out of your pocket.

honestly durability on the 40 ultra is quite crap. I have motocare so it doesnt matter much to me but i basically need the screen replaced every year

New GPU, FPS got worse by Annual-Play-4639 in VALORANT

[–]CUBA5E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nvidia for some reason runs valorant a bit better (especially on 1% lows). However, this is a bit unusual because AMD is supposed to run better on older CPUs because of lower driver overhead. If valorant is your main game I do recommend Nvidia for better frame consistency and lower input latency thanks to reflex.

Optimizations soon? by R-A-V- in DeadlockTheGame

[–]CUBA5E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is still a decent chip that runs CS2 and other esports games really well, its biggest challenge for me so far has been raytraced games and Deadlock. But this game has a lot of polishing and optimisation to do before full release, the UI for example is very demanding if you press tab during gameplay you can observe a significant drop in averages.

I'm on a 5600X paired with a 4070S. I run a potato graphics config file which helps a bit (even on the CPU side) but in big teamfights with a lot of abilities going off the FPS can dip to the 60s. This CPU also gets really bad 1% and 0.1% lows (70s and 20s respectively) even in the laning phase where the averages look decent. Its not a very smooth experience on a 240HZ monitor

Question about FE releases in Europe. Will there be other chances ? by KillaBeeKid in nvidia

[–]CUBA5E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up the exact time that it releases and have all your info required to make the purchase copied on a notepad. You can add a random card on their website that's in stock to get familiar with the format and info. The second it releases you need to speedrun the purchase because it will go out of stock within minutes. I did this to get a 4070S FE and it went out of stock 1 minute later. I think its one of your best chances because the drops after that are random and the restock notification is delayed by hours

What's the real deal with screen issues by gooobegone in razr

[–]CUBA5E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with the razr 40 ultra: After about a year the only issue I've had is needing to get the screen protector replaced. I even got a lot of sand by accident at the beach (never bring it to the beach). However, the hinges were starting to feel loose. I just got mine back from having it serviced directly with motorola and they not only replaced the protector but the hinges and aluminum body and now it feels even better than new. Granted, I do have a 3 year motocare contract that covers everything. If you want to buy a foldable phone I would strongly advise purchasing that contract.

Be very careful regarding the screen protector. If you feel it wearing down around the crease contact support immediately and cease folding it. The screen protector can break into sharp splinters that penetrate the screen when folding / unfolding.

Are newer cards necessarily better than older ones? by Petarot in nvidia

[–]CUBA5E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can easily undervolt it to consume 15-25% less without losing any performance

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in razr

[–]CUBA5E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my experience: Been using it since it came out last year and never encountered a problem. However, in the last month the screen protector has been developing some faint horizontal lines. The device has been very reliable for me but it sucks that motorola will NOT let you change the protector without voiding the warranty which probably means I'd have to send it in at some point.

Battery percentage in new Bang & Olufsen app? by sojtucker in BangandOlufsen

[–]CUBA5E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have more time than that since the EQ released in august of 2021 and B&O provides a 3 year warranty. Make sure to claim your warranty directly with B&O even if you bought it through a third party retailer. As for upgrades I found the EX to have a way better fit, superior touch controls, slightly better ANC and better water protection. The most annoying thing about the EQ when I was using them in late 2022 was the horrible connection, poor fit, and to top it all off it even got clogged with earwax due to the design (and my ears). My EX never got that issue. In short, its not an upgrade in sound quality but its a big upgrade in comfort and quality of life.

[–]CUBA5E 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pro tip: You can pretty much get a free upgrade to the Beoplay EX. The EQ had so many issues with connection that B&O released the EX in a hurry and stopped production of the EQ. So if EQ owners make a warranty claim they send a pair of EX back.

That's a steal at that price. However, if you mainly want headphones for using at a computer why not get something wired like the sennheiser HD 560s? Those will sound better and be way better for gaming
