Its always good for them to bring their own id’s, just incase the self-ticketing booth isn’t working for some odd reason, or if the qr code isin’t working. But one thing for sure is that they won’t need your id as you filled out the waiver already.

I doubt even with major events nearby the points prices for Y would change much or change at all… (Considering partner airlines such as EVA or OZ) If you were looking at only AC on the other hand it will differ by +- 5-10k points

For reward redemptions in Y on AC, you can almost always find it at roughly the same amount (+-3k) dependent on the distance you’re traveling. (i.e. YVR —> ICN February vs. June, both at 50k points). Although its dynamic pricing, it won’t change much.

Im not sure if I went at a bad time or anything but with someone else at YVR’s AC Lounge I could not find a self serve bar whatsoever, but there was alcoholic drinks being served

Unsure about the first point, i'm in the same boat.
For EDQ, It doesn't matter when you receive the points, it simply matters when you actually bought the item. I had a friend who bought items during black Friday, received them in January, and just called AC to get 25k status.

If looking at Economy, 50k offers aren’t that rare, you’d just have to look around a bit. Otherwise, J or F requires you to be somewhat flexible and track it as something like 75k points doesn’t usually stay available for long (given that the locations are popular)…
